I'm a natural girl with long but thin lashes. I don't wear mascara every day, but when I do I like to pump up the volume on my lashes. So I heard good things about cg lash blast luxe. I bought the luxe and tried it a few times. First off, It did not sparkle like they say it does, but worse I noticed that my eyelashes were breaking off and were so much shorter than they were before I started using it. The horror!!! So I decided to go with organic wear mascara in hopes of it being more gentle to my lashes. I'm very pleased with this mascara. It comes off easily with soap and water, goes on smooth and stays on until you remove it, and gives great definition and length. All around it is 100x better than lash blast luxe! Hopefully now my eyelashes will grow back!!

I was thrilled when I found this mascara because it is all natural. However, I use eye drops about 4 times a day. I have always used eye driops with non-waterproof mascara and have never had any issues. The first time that I used eye drops, the mascara immediatiely ran into my eyes and burned like heck. I was in public with my eyes tearing, turning red and the mascara running. NOT good!! I assume that because of the lack of chemicals, it liquifies and runs more easily than conventional brands. Regarless, it made my eyes burn and I will never buy it again. Avoid water contact at ALL COSTS when using this mascara - even steam and you will be okay. Also, it smells like honey and I can smell it for awhile after it has been applied. It's a bit strange. If you can stay dry and deal with the smell I think you'll like it.

This is very separating, has a great wand, and is good for a natural look, but there are a couple of things that keep me from using it every day. I bought the ultra black and compared to what I'm used to, it's more of a very deep charcoal. Also, this formula doesn't seem to really set up. It's a bit creamier in texture and even at the end of the day, if I touch my lashes when I'm wearing this, they feel tacky. So, for me, this is a daytime, mild weather mascara. If it's super hot, humid, or raining, I go with a maybelline one to avoid smudging. Which is disappointing because I wanted this "natural" product to totally replace my old mascara.

My skin care (and minimal makeup) routine is all-natural and has been for a long time; I'm constantly experimenting with new brands or formulas, and I thought I'd give this a try after reading the reviews, albeit mixed. Well, on first application, I adored this; it went on smoothly, no clumping, and had a great dark pigment. I did notice it was messy, though, maybe because it's a thinner/smoother consistency than anything else I've used before. (By "messy", I mean it got all over my upper lids and it looked like a 6-year-old had applied it.) I usually clean up with a cotton swab anyway, but this was a little excessive. That's fine if the negatives had stopped there, but they didn't. By the time I got to work (20 minutes later), it was already under my eyes (I only use mascara on my top lashes) and clumping at my outside lashes. I run my fingers over my lashes and there's mascara on them. I've only been wearing this for 4 hours, but I can't imagine there will be anything left by the end of the day. It also seems, judging by how hard it was just to wash off my fingertips, like this will be a nightmare to remove. I wear only mascara, but I've tried them all. I shall keep trying...

Lately I have been making a concerted effort to avoid skin care and beauty products with harmful chemicals, and decided to give this mascara a try. I have been using it regularly for the past two months, and to my surprise, I absolutely love it!
Keeping in mind that it DOES NOT claim to be waterproof, I am very pleased with the consistency and longevity of the formula. I have not experienced any clumping or drying, and the applicator does a nice job of separating and defining my lashes. It provides moderate volume and length, which is perfect for me as I generally prefer a more natural look ("my eyes, but better").
Yes, this mascara can smudge, but not nearly as much as I had expected; like I said, it's not waterproof, so understand that this may happen. I have very oily skin and I only need to touch-up a few times throughout the day by gently dabbing under my eyes with a tissue to prevent the "raccoon" look. Not a big deal when you consider the health benefits of a natural/organic product. Plus, the non-waterproof factor is an advantage for easy removal at the end of the day.
For times when I need a longer-wearing product (hot weather, physical exertion, all-day event, night out, etc.), or when I want to add multiple coats for a more dramatic look, I simply revert to my old L'Oreal waterproof mascara ... but that is the exception rather than the norm. Otherwise, I am mostly reaching for my Organic Wear!

I'm a little confused by the extreme reviews of this product. And by that, I mean from one end of the spectrum to the other. Too dry, smudges, great definition or clumpy. It's kinda weird. But I do love the way it goes on, but it never seem to dry. Eight hrs later, I could still smudge it off. It also came off onto my skin under my eyes. I looked like a raccoon. If it would dry, I would love this mascara, but I don't want to spend my money. Maybe it was a bad product.

I found this product when I started to use the Environmental Working Group's list of products good for me and the planet. Mascara is a must-have for me and I love how this one works. I figured I'd have to sacrifice some thickness and lengthening to get a 'healthy' product but it really surprised me. I don't have to touch up my eyelid after applying. And if I do the 'wiggle the brush up' when applying, then the volume is great for me. I wait until it dries and then top off the tips and there's extra length. My lashes stay soft and it comes off at the end of the day pronto...so I'm even easier on my lashes. I'm recommending it to all my friends.

I had to purchase this product to try the Organic Wear brand because the jumbo version was completely dried out upon purchase. I also replace the plastic brush with a natural one that held the right amount of product and did poke me in the eye. With that, it goes on well and stays well. Takes a little soap to remove. If product got in my eyes they became irritated. Stopped using because of the products contents. Organic chemistry means = ingredients or elements attach to a carbon molecule. These can be synthesized or naturally derive. for example plastic has a carbon molecule as so do oils. This product contains Magnesium aluminum silicate. It is found in many cosmetics as a texture enhancement. Any substance with aluminum compounds is an known neurotoxin. Even though, magnesium aluminum silicate has such large molecules that it shouldn't be able to pass through the skin according to the International Journal of Toxicology, it can pass through the eyes. Magnesium aluminum silicate is also used in deodorants. There is a strong connection between aluminum and Alzheimer's disease. Many of the mascara's that I have used in the past seem to irritate my eyes when I am wearing my contact lenses. I do not have any irritation with this mascara. Also it isnt tested on lab animals which I support.
