I am very happy with this mascara--I have searched far and wide for one that is 1) not tested on animals, 2) does not contain harsh chemicals, 3) is easy to remove, 4) makes my sparse, blonde lashes look fuller. There is minimal clumping, which I can live with. I like the brush too. My only two complaints, in order of importance, are that it smudges against my eyelid very easily (unless I apply super carefully) and it doesn't come in brown. I have red hair, blonde lashes, and pale skin, so brown would suit me better. Otherwise, I am very, very happy with this. It can be applied lightly for a normal day look or more heavily for a dramatic night look. A great, all purpose mascara.

I love that Physician's Formula came out with a line of makeup that's great for the environment, animals, and people! I've been gradually phasing out my use of another brand that I found out tests on animals. This product comes in an attractive, eco-friendly tube, and applies fairly easily, with only occasional clumps. I was dissappointed from the first use, however, when I found that it had smudged onto my under-eye region by the end of the day. Now, I am careful to use this only in low humidity, when I know I'll be home before too late! Still a good value, and a great alternative to harsher formulas.

They don't sell a Physicians Formula mascara any longer that I picked up last summer. I wish companies would stick with what is working instead of getting rid of and replacing products. I was forced to buy this particular mascara because there was no alternative. I refuse to use anything but Physicians Formula but this stuff is going back to customer service for a return. It's awful mascara. It doesn't dry once applied and remains sticky. I'm in an area where it's generally humid but right now our humidity is at it's lowest.

I wanted to like this product. I tried Honeybee Gardens mascara and really liked it, but I wanted to try one that had a better price tag. Physicians Formula is a big disappointment to me. It gives me raccoon eyes. I will continue to use it on the upper eyelashes only. Even then, by night time, I have raccoon eyes. Back to Honeybee Garden for me.

So many mascaras really irritate my eyes, but I've had no problems with this one. It goes on well and doesn't clump until it's nearly empty. Wish the applicator was a little fuller, but this is still a great product.

I only buy products that are not tested on animals, which is why I purchased this mascara. Unfortunately, I cannot use it on my bottom lashes because is runs/smears under my eyes; so, I use it only on the top lashes and use another on the bottom lashes.
On a positive note, I like that it doesn't cake the way most other mascaras do. And, though I tend to like the brush applicators better, I like that this one likely doesn't hold the amount of bacteria I'm guessing the brush ones do.
Overall a good product....as long as you don't use it on your bottom lashes!

Love this mascara! I was previously using bare essentials, but wanted to try something new/cheaper. So glad I did because this is an awesome product! have very sensitive eyes and this does not bother my eyes one bit. It holds up well throughout the day without any flaking. It does wash off easily with water only. I LOVE that because eye makeup remover irritates my eyes, however if you are looking for a mascara to use for a special occasion such as wedding...this may not hold up to tears.

I bought this product due to it being Organic. I wasn't expecting anything phenomenal in terms of performance. What a surprise to find out how great it is - second to best mascara I've had!

Just isn't the right consistency. Left me with "tarantula eyes," meaning even after just one thin coat and using a separator my lashes wouldn't separate evenly with this stuff like they do with other brands. It's like it never dries also. Didn't look natural, pretty, and voluminous, just looked unnatural and creepy. Only bought it cause my other natural mascara brand disappeared from this site.

I love that is natural and non-toxic, and I would love if it worked just as well as the other classic brands. But we are not there yet... seems like in order to be natural and eco-friendly we still have to conform to lower standards....

I was looking for a less toxic mascara, and according to the EWG database, this one is pretty safe. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now, and I have no complaints at all. It doesn't irritate my eyes like some other eye makeup products. It doesn't clump or smudge, so no spider lashes or raccoon eyes. The brush separates the lashes nicely. I will purchase again.
Sweep mascara brush from lash base to tips. Apply multiple coats for added volume. Can easily be washed off with soap and water or removed with Physicians Formula Eye Makeup Remover Pads or Lotions.
