I am a contractor in Iraq and was exposed to germs that my body had no immunity to. I came here in 2006 and got a virus that was one of the worst in my life. I did some internet research and decided to take this product along with Vit. C, Zinc, and Bee Propolis. These 3 are effective, yes, but with the Sambucol the worst thing I have gotten since 2006 is a 2 day sore throat. I have lived in an 8 man tent since my original sickness over here and even when 5 or 6 of my tentmates are very sick, I will feel fine. Sambucol really works. However, the researchers who developed this product say it doesnt work as a prophylactic (it doesnt stop you from getting sick) it shortens the duration of sickness, I believe the Vit C., Zinc, Bee Propolis and Sambucol TOGETHER, will keep you pretty healthy as far as getting sick from viruses go

Teaching children I live in fear of catching every permutation of every bug going around and used this religiously, until I ran out and was short of money. I figured I'd skip it because it's all in my mind, right? Well, I promptly got miserably sick. It works. I won't skip it anymore. It's worth the money. (Especially if you don't have paid sick leave!)

Drink the Sambucol by Using the cup given, to the 1500 level each day in the morning and do nothing else. Taste is great!!!
I have been around people who cough repeatedly (sometimes right in your direction), sneeze like there is "no tomorrow" and in general are not healthy, for several months and I have absolutely no symptoms. I have been using Sambucol for about 2 years.

I've been avoiding a cold for a week now by using the Nature's Way Sambucus syrup, which I think tastes much better. But, when I ran out, they were out of stock at my local store, so I grabbed this product to try. It doesn't taste good at all to me, very strong and not very sweet. I have to mix it with apple juice; then it's fine. Seems to be working just as well, though. I am definitely impressed with the effectiveness of elderberry syrup! Works better that any other remedy I've tried (vitamins, fizzy drink supplements, zinc, herbs...).

I love this product!! I I use this for my entire family during cold and flu season. I give it to my kids at the first sign of a cold. It has a high concentration of black elderberry which is good and the price is good. My kids think it tastes like thick grape juice so they are glad to take it. It shortens the duration and lessens the severity of their symptoms. I love that I have a product at home that I can use to make them better. It saves me a trip to the doctor.

I like this product, but I prefer the Sambucus syrup. This product has a more chemically taste, whereas I actually enjoy the taste of the Nature's Way Sambucus syrup.
