In the winter, we keep the heat very low at night. So I've been using the regular bed buddy to help me get to sleep for a few years now. Much more effective and healthy than taking a sleeping pill or a night cap. I'm sure this product would work just as well for that.
I bought this newer product for my mother who has fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. She has also recently has severe spasms in the muscles in her back. Aside from advil and muscle relaxers, this rectangular bed buddy is the one thing that provides some releif for her. The heat simply helps her muscles relax. Very simple but very effective.
The only thing negative I have to say is that the image on the box is deceiving. They must have used a very petite lady for the picture, because it does not cover almost the entire back. It covers around 1/3 of my 5 foot 2 in mother's back.
Place product in microwave and heat for 90 seconds. Carefully touch to test. If additional warmth is desired, continue heating in 20 second intervals. Do not exceed two and a half minutes heating time per use. Microwave heating times vary. Always test for hot spots and overall temperature before using.
Care Instructions Remove inner pouch before washing. Machine wash outer cover in warm water. Tumble dry. Fabric softener recommended.
