We use non-absorbent, non-sterile, non-surgical bleached cotton, U.S. Cotton product #79212002 for vertebrate specimen preparation. The item actually sold to you here is U.S. Cotton product # 79210006, a 1 lb. roll of absorbent cotton. This cotton is sold as a replacement because it is US Cotton's only other cotton sold in 1lb rolls (I just got off the phone with their customer service 1-800-321-1029). The grain on the item sold here #79210006 goes horizontally, the edges are hard cut and the absorbency renders it useless in humid climates. You can get by with it in the lab for bird and mammal specimen preparation but it is not ideal. U.S. Cotton no longer manufactures non-absorbent cotton.
Drugstore.com: please correct how you advertise this product and put the correct product image.
