Indications
Shortens duration and reduces severity of symptoms associated with common colds and throat/sinus/bronchial infections:
congestion
cough
headache
hoarseness
minor aches
sore throat
Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) to make coughs more productive.
Warnings
Sore throat warning: if sore throat is severe, persists more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by a fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly.
Ask a doctor before use if you have
Persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema
A cough accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus)
Stop use and ask a doctor if
New symptoms occur, symptoms get worse or last more than 7 days
Cough lasts more than 7 days or occurs with rash or persistent headache
Fever worsens or lasts more than 3 days These could be signs or a serious condition

I have asthma and so when I get a cold it often goes into my chest. Clinical testing has proved that it can shorten the duration of acute bronchitis (chest cold with a cough) by two days. That makes a big difference to me. I have had pneumonia multiple times and something that is proven to shorten the duration of a chest cold means I'm less at risk. It is a little pricey for how fast I go through it, but this is the best place to buy umcka and it does help.

I use this when I first start coming down with a cold and also take it when I have been around others with a cold and it works as a preventative treatment. Also, the more I use it, the more my immunity seems to improve.

I used to be one of those people who had colds or coughs that just lingered on and on. Since I started taking Umcka shortly after my colds start, I have been cold-symptom free after just a few days.
I like this kids' syrup (haven't tried the grown-up version -- got this originally for my kid's cold, and have stuck with it since). I also like the (new?) Umcka hot drink packets for one or two of my daily doses during a cold.

This product is great! My 4 year old daughter who hates medicine (unless it's bubble gum flavor) liked this. She's happy to take it. The best part is the medicine actually works. Give it at the first sign of a cold three times a day. My daughters colds always turn into sinus infections or ear infections. This actually stopped the cold. I will be buying more and would recommend to any parent. It's nice to see a child not get sick. Definite must in the medicine cabinet.

This was hard to find in stores so was excited to find here. Desperately ordered and received shortly thereafter. My son and I had just finished having colds for 5 weeks. After two good weeks we started getting sick again. This box showed up on day two of feeling sick. Within 5 days he was better! His cough was barely there compared to the horrible bronchial cough he had had. I won't live without this stuff!!
PS: bought the adult version for me and daddy and a sore throat that started on Tuesday was gone by Saturday and no other symptoms.
