I must give credit to my hairstylist for a great cut. In combination with John Frieda Frizz-Ease Shampoo (and Conditioner) however, I finally have waves that behave. Previously, I never knew what my hair would do from day to day. Now I never have bad hair days unless I've waited too long for a cut.

My hair feels silky wet and dry. I've tried dozens of products, but none has ever worked as well as this. Wish I'd tried this sooner.

Good price, too.

I saw beautiful results with my first use of Frizz-Ease Dream Curls Hydrating Shampoo (and used it with the Dream Curls Hydrating Conditioner as well). My hair is softer and smoother than it has ever been, but still curly. My hair is shoulder length with long layers and a combination of natural waves and curls. I can wash/condition, pick it into place and go! It looks good all day! I live in Wyoming where we can have some pretty breezy days, and if my hair gets too crazy because of the wind, I can either spritz my hair with a little bit of water, or get my hands wet and scrunch my hair with my damp hands and I'm good to go! With John Frieda's Frizz-Ease Dream Curl Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner, I don't have to worry about looking like a Dandelion gone to seed! For really windy days, I like to use a curl defining cream/lotion to keep things better organized. For that I like the L'oreal "Curve It" Curl Taming Cream, but I plan on trying the Frizz-Ease "Curl Perfecting Spray", "Leave in Conditioner" and "Go Curlier Heat Activated Spray". I will give an updated review after trying out those products.

I've been using the smooth start hydrating in my routine for years. It works nicely for me without overstripping or overconditioning my hair. I ran out recently and came back to drugstore.com to restock. I ordered the shampoo and conditioner, but when I received them, they were a different item. They're shipping as DREAM CURLS. No smooth start, no hydrating. I checked the ingredients and they are different from the smooth start. So I contacted drugstore.com who shipping out a replacement item...only that came as the exact same DREAM CURLS item. Now drugstore.com says they don't think they have smooth start anymore.
The DREAM CURLS version doesn't work as well. And also, how could you ship something out that says Dream CURLS when the product is supposed to be SMOOTH start. Doesn't compute in my head.

I dyed my lifelong blonde hair black in December - could not adapt - lightened, then bleached, highlighted and colored 4 times between 2nd week of Dec and 3rd week of January - and this stuff saved my life and my hair. I have long hair and was scared that I would have to cut it off due to chemical damage. I used professional brands I listed that cost more than $100 for the shampoo and conditioner combo for each set….minimal to absolutely no results. This John Frieda line saved saved saved me, and my hair looks fantastic, and feels silky and smooth - no frizzies and no split burned look.

I use this for myself and my children. I have thick and naturally wavy hair and my girls have curly hair long hair. This is super lathery and smells great. I wash thier hair every other day and mine daily. This paired with the condition is the only low priced shampoo that works for keeping my children's hair manageable.

I usually love John Frieda hair products, but this one made my dry, straight hair too greasy. I suppose it works better on other types of hair. I'm going back to the other types of Frieda shampoos that I love.

Overall I like this shampoo. Sure I've used better products, but they also cost 3 or 4 times as much. I think this shampoo is a great value, it lathers nicely and has a pleasant scent. I'm a guy with short hair so I can't comment on the benefits of frizz control, but it gets all the product out of my hair and doesn't leave it incredibly dry. [...]
