The cost per bag is about 1/3 more than for a large sized bag of Oreos. I know I'm not supposed to say cost, so am trying to avoid it and show the comparison to the normal sized cookie and packaging. Therefore, you pay more for the individual packs, but you get the benefits of knowing when to stop, I have that problem, and with these packs your kids also know when enough is enough, plus you can carry them in all your emergency food locations-- purse, desk drawer, glove compartment, coat pocket. I often hand one out the door to someone 'just in case' whether they say 'no no I don't need it' or not. OK, Oreos are not the healthiest food on the planet and they do have fat and a nice amount of sugar in them, but they are a dessert, not intended to be a meal or even nutritious. Are cupcakes nutritious? But are they good? :) and if you don't have a package of Keebler's cheese and crackers with you, or an Odwalla protein bar, these will give you enough energy to get through a slump until you can eat a decent "whole food". Let's face it, how many people are going to eat a banana while driving home from work? There is also the plus of not having to wrap and ziplock a bunch of large Oreos to go. If I did not have these tiny packages, I think they have about 6-8 in each bag can't recall, I could mindlessly eat a whole row of big Oreos. In my opinion, the benefits of portion control, packaging, shelf life, and ease of keeping them where ever you might need them [bedside drawer] make them a good deal at a reasonable price.
