Please Read Before Use:
Designed for use at night while sleeping.
Not for use by children 18 years of age or less.
One size is ideal for most people.
No boiling, cutting or molding required.
For upper or lower teeth, whichever is more comfortable.
Place retention band between front teeth and lip.
Designed to create space between teeth with lips closed.
Do not eat, drink or smoke with unit in mouth.
Product is for one time use only.
Discontinue use if you experience pain or irritation

Do not use for more than 90 days without a dentists' advice
Do not use for more than 8 hours each night
Use only for teeth grinding and /or jaw clenching

I have had to use a night guard for several years. The first 2 were made by dentist. One was too big and the other I bit right through, very costly. Also my teeth wore badly even though I used them faithfully. I purchased 2 Doctor's night guard in the past. The newer ones are different,very hard to fit and too big for my mouth.I also have tried Sleep Right. Tried 2 sizes couldn't wear either one too bulky for small mouths. Plackers are the best I have ever used. Small enough for the smallest mouths.Keeps teeth from touching but still can close my mouth. So comfortable you can hardly tell it is in your mouth.

I bought a box of these to keep in my suitcase because I frequently forget my real night guard when I travel. Having just worn the plackers version for 3 nights in a row, I think it kept me from damaging the surface of my teeth, but my jaw and molars are killing me- maybe the soft material made me grind more than usual. So it's probably better than nothing in a pinch, especially if you've got porcelain crowns to worry about, but no substitute for a permanent night guard.

My dentist noticed cracks in my dental work and took a mold of my mouth for an expensive guard to use on my upper teeth while I slept every nite. Pushed myself to use it for 10 days - It was terrible, it was way too big, saliva everywhere, could not close my mouth, so uncomfortable I just could not get to sleep. I looked on line and my local drugstore and tried many different options - this was the best. I use Placker's Grind-no-more on my lower teeth. Brought it to my dentist for review at my next visit - she saw how it fit and that it did provide enough cushion to protect my dental work.

I'm not sure where all the glowing reviews for this product are coming from. I found it to be flimsy and impossible to secure without a squirt of denture cream (I don't have dentures, have it on hand for a past night guard from my dentist that was loose). And even the denture cream didn't keep it in place all that well. I tried to return it but it wasn't cost-effective to return, so I'll keep it on hand just in case the night guard my dentist made me gets lost or cracked.

I am a life long grinder and clencher. I used to spend a fortune at the dentist getting a custom made one. I found these to be bulky and ended up having my bottom front teeth loose as a consequence of clenching and attempting to grind against the appliance. I've tried many over the counter mouth guards and find these to work great. About once every two months, my jaw is very sore because I've contorted it while asleep to clench and grind around these appliances, but it is the exception.

Been hesitating to replace my $800 night guard for years now because I kept forgetting to use it.
Saw this, bought two boxes, and am still working on the very first placker after at least a week. Man, I can afford to wear these for a lifetime! It does the same thing as the dentist-made one (though it's not as solid and it took a little getting used to).
I am thrilled to have found this.

I've been using these for about six months with no problem until last night. I had a really bad nightmare, and when I woke up,the middle bit that goes along the gum line was sliding down my throat. Totally gross. I have lost my confidence in this product. I really don't want to take the chance of eating plastic every night!
