I like to use shampoos and conditioners as sets rather than mix and match, so I use this along with the shampoo of the same set. I use this conditioner once a week, usually to co-wash and sometimes after a shampoo. I used this conditioner to co-wash when I had senegalese twists installed, and it corrected all of my dry ends. I thought my ends were split and damaged because they were so coarse and unmanageable, but when I took out my braids, for the first time the entire length of my hair was moisturized and not just the root. My ends were no longer hard and kinky, even after months of washing and conditioning with other products. I believe this cheap conditioner really improved the health of my hair. It also works wonders for my weave, making it shiny and manageable. I decided not to bring a bottle of this with me when I went to visit my aunt for a weekend, and I ended up having to co-wash my hair with her Pantene cleansing conditioner. Boy, did that mess me up! My weave has looked like hay ever since. I just shampooed and conditioned with this, and my weave is manageable again, shiny, and the ends appear healthier. The only thing I don't like about this conditioner is that a silicone is listed as the third ingredient. I don't mind using silicones, but I would prefer if it was farther down the list. This isn't the best detangling or most moisturizing drugstore conditioner I've ever used, but it is lightweight and effective and doesn't cause buildup, so I will continue to use it as a backup and for weaves. Other than that, I am waiting for a liter sale to try more expensive, professional brands.

It was all over the message boards that this product had no silicones, and the Drugstore.com ingredients showed it not to have any as well. However, I just went to buy it and the 3rd ingredient is Dimethicone, a non-water soluble silicone that builds up on hair and makes a barrier against conditioning agents. Dimethicone also requires harsh sulphates for removal, which I avoid. What a disappointment! :( Either there has been a change in the ingredients recently for the worse, or for the better! Hope the newer version doesn't have it.

i NEVER would've believed that this product would do my natural hair so much justice! it's blogged about by Black hair fashionistas, and there's a reason: it works. i use it co-wash (i don't even own shampoo anymore) and it treats my super-thick hair beautifully. even with regular use, the bottle lasts a good month or more. a little higher on drugstore than at my local store, though, so i'll continue buying it there. . . but always smart to have a backup!

I am very pleased with this conditioner. The smell is great and it leaves my fine, damage-prone hair shiny, soft and healthy. I use a lot of Phyto products which are very expensive and this is a good alternative for the price. I am very surprised, but very happy.

I used the original version for alot less thinking it would even better than the knock off but it wasn't and I wasted alot of money. It rinses clean from my hair and body and the shower isn't slippery. I do wish it was thicker though

After many, many years of buying expensive salon shampoos and conditioners in an effort to find one that moisturized my fine, dry, curly hair without weighing it down, I am THRILLED to have found one at my local supermarket for 1/10th of the price!! Suave's Almond & Shea Butter Shampoo and Conditioner leaves my hair so soft, smooth and shiny without weighing it down! I have been using it daily for months and my hair does not feel heavy at all. The last time I had my hair cut the stylist asked me what hair products I used because my hair was so soft! She could not believe it when I told her Suave. Over the years I have used Biolage, Nexxus, Graham Webb, Joico, Redken and Paul Mitchell, just to name a few, and NONE of them made my hair this soft and shiny. I will use this product for as long as they make it!
