I'm forever in search of great skin products, have purchased department store expensive brands but this facial scrub is the best bargain! It works beautifully, love how smooth it leaves my skin and you can't beat the price! This is now all I use on my face each morning in the shower.

I thought I would try this product as other St Ives products have worked so well for me in the past. This product was too gritty for me and it over dried my skin - gave me that tight, dry feeling immediately after use. I broke out the 2nd time I used it. I will use it in the shower as a body scrub, but won't be buying this product again.

My mom has always looked far younger than her real age, and I'm convinced that a lot of it has to do with to her regular use of apricot scrubs. The brand that she used to use was discontinued long ago, so now we both use the St. Ives scrub. I use this product one to two times a week to help keep my skin smooth and clear.

I started using St. Ives when I was in my 20's, switched to more expensive brands as I got older and always end up coming back! It works better than anything else I have tried, no more switching for me. I am now in my 40's took me long enough!

by kwc[Verified Buyer] in West Linn, OR on 10/17/09
Cons: Bad Smell, Clogs pores, Irritates Skin
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Best Uses: Daily Use
Bottom Line: not recommended
I have used Apricot Scrub for more than 30 years and it has kept my acne prone skin clean and clear used along with Clinique Clarifing Lotion 2 and Trish McEvoy's Moisture Retaining Bar. The new Fresh Skin Formula clogs pores. It is terrible. Bring back the old formula. This website still shows the old packaging/old formula but they ship the new Fresh Skin formula under the new packaging.

St. Ives Apricot Scrub, Invigorating rates 1 out of 5 stars, from 148 customer reviews.I shoudn't have used it
by Tracy[Verified Reviewer] in CA on 8/27/09
Cons: Irritates Skin
Bottom Line: not recommended
I only used it once because I got a small skin rash on the side of my nose right after my first use. I stopped using it and thought the rash would go away, but it didn't. My chin and the area under my eyes turn swollen and red. I thought I had an allergic reaction so I went to see my doctor. My doctor prescribed a corticosteroid cream and zrytec. After one week, my skin cleared up. However, the rash came back after a couple weeks. So I kept applying the corticosteroid cream but my face kept swollen and red. After 4 months of battle, I went to see a dermatologist. The dermatologist told me I had steroid rosacea and I had to stop using the corticosteroid cream. He put me on antibiotics for 3 months and now I've been on this medication for 2 months. My face is still red and inflamed. Let's hope it will get better and return to the normal state after a couple months. So if you have sensitive skin, I would stay away from something so harsh like St. Ives Apricot scrub even if it's got so many good reviews. Good luck to your skin.

For the price, thsi facial scrub is hard to beat. It cleans well and smells good. It is, in my opinion, gentle enough for daily use. I would not suggest it for daily use to those with sensitive skin though as it may be too abrasive for them.
