The Clearasil Face Wash ingredients have changed and it doesn't work nearly as well as the old version for me anyway! DrugStore.com needs to change their picture as well as the list of ingredients!!! The new product is called Clearasil Deep Cleanse Daily Face Wash. Don't know why Clearasil would change such a good product that has been around for decades!

I used this product once when i was a teenager with horrible acne and it dried out my skin in patches and did nothing to help my acne. Now I'm 30 so I decided to try it again since my acne has considerably dissipated. I thought it might work. not so. It leaves my skin oily and it feels as though a film is left behind. I also tried this in the shower on my back with the same result. Conclusion : from my experperiences and reading over these reviews this product is obviously NOT for oily skin or acne prone skin despite the clearasil name. So if your skin falls into these categories and you're looking for a deep cleanser save yourself the trouble and try either the oxy face wash/mask or the foaming cleanser by Alpha Hydroxy. (or both! :) too bad this product didn't come with a disclaimer as I'm sure the manufacturer knows this already.

I have used this product for many years. It is part of my daily routine. I am in my low 30's and have had acne since middle school. This product keep my skin in check and NEVER drys it out. I do not use it on my forhead, since that is prone to being very dry - but the rest of my face would not be clear without it. I use an oil free daily moisture for combo skin with SPF and my skin stays clear most of the time. I have found that it only work OK for black heads - usually I need a scrub for those when they pop up. But for moderate to severe acne with inflamation or sever white heads - it's a life saver. Use 2x a day and on a wash cloth once to exfoliate and/or remove makeup. Try it, you'll like it and it's a great value!

This face wash is good for me for taking off most of my make up at the end of the day. However it doesn't seem to get all of it and I still have white heads and break outs. Guess I'll have to try something different! But doesn't mean it might not work for someone else and another skin type. My skin is combination to more oily so it might not be bad for someone with sensitive skin.

great for acne

This was a nice cleanser. I love it way it lathers and gives your skin a tingly feeling after you wash it. I would have given this 5/5 stars but it doesn't really do anything for acne prone skin. I primarily use it to take off makeup. None the less it is a nice cleanser.

this is the greastest cleanser ever ive been going from cleanser to cleanser in search of the perfect one. this is oil free and perfect for combination and oily skin. it doesnt irritate or over dry like other cleansers ive tried and it also give ya face a really clean feeling no bs this is the best thing ive ever used definatly worth trying. it doesnt really do nothing for pimples but like the other person said just use some benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid with a good moisturizer and all your skin problems will be gone

I have been using this cleanser for about 10 years! It works great for me. It takes my makeup off in seconds even mascara without srubbing. Its gentle on my skin. Although i do not have acne, my skin tends to get oily certain time of the month and in the summer, but this really gets rid of all the residue.

This cleanser was not too impressive with acne, but it is overall a good daily cleanser. While it didn't help my acne, at least it didn't make it worse. The texture is very thick and creamy, so just a little bit will make a good lather. It also smells nice, something like cucumber melon.

I've tried everything for my acne. I've tried Proactiv, Acne Free, clean and clear, Skin id, and many more. This is the only cleanser that has ever worked for me. Of course after I cleanse, I use saltic acid pads and benzoyl peroxide (only at night). I have moderate acne and oily skin, and Clearsil clears my acne well. I still get some pimples with it, I think that's just something I have to deal with. Every time I try something I think will work better, my face gets worse.
