I've been using Q-Tips for decades and the quality is consistent. I mainly use to dry the nooks and crannies of my outer ears after a shower (not inside the ear canal which is dangerous). If you need a cotton swab, this brand is great. There may be something cheaper but with this brand, the quality is consistent. There are also safety swaps for babies with bigger puffs that I use for my cats' ears as needed.

Until now, that is!Manufacturers are ruining their products by cutting the quality,size, thickness,you name it! They used to compete for our business by offering the softest,thickest products they could make. Now, their products no longer function for their intended purpose,whether it be Q-tips,facial tissues or zip lock type bags. Because they have all done it, we consumers have no where to turn for decent products. What happened to all the American "know how"? I'll just use the least expensive brand because they are all the same now,TERRIBLE!No longer brand loyal in Minnesota
What you would expect from the Q-Tip brand. Preferred due to right amount of cotton on the tip. Always the right choice for cleaning ears or fingernails.
I've been buying Q-tips brand for many years. The other brands are not as effective mainly because the body is made of plastic and bend as you try to maneuver the swab and have less cotton at the tip.

This has fallen apart on me all the time. The cotton will just stay inside my ear, which I have had get it out and was totally scared. This shouldn't happen. Other than that, it's always somewhat fuzzy and breaks apart. I don't understand why people have been giving 5 stars. This product is horrible! The cotton always falls off the stick. Also, the cotton portion will become somewhat messy and fuzzy. Not intact anymore. I switched to Johnson & Johnson, never fails, never fuzzes and never falls off the stick!! Q-tip manufactures horrible products!
The way these are described is FALSE" ..."and have more soft cotton at the tip. There is no softer or safer swab." 500 is a lot so I only buy these once-a-year. I was shocked to find how skimpy they have become. I know manufacturers are making product smaller or quantitatively less, while charging the same price, in order to squeeze out more profit. I see the 10 or 12 oz, coffee instead of the old 16 oz. But, Q-tips? Don't skimp on the cotton - they're horrible., A little smattering of cotton wrapped on the tip - it really seems like it's 1/2 of the nice fat amount that cushioned it before. I'm looking for an off-brand and hoping they are better. I would rather pay more or have less quantity than have an inferior product I can't fix. Let's face it - I can always buy more coffee.
