After reading the reviews for this product I decided to try it. The reviewers who liked the product always added a little cinnamon. I have been replacing one meal a day with it for 5 days and have lost about 2 pounds; this is the little emotional/intellectual boost I need to keep me on track. I have to see some progress or I get discouraged. I also believe in the "setpoint" weight as I have not been able to budge lower than a certain number without absolutely starving myself. I blend 6 T in a blender with ice, soy milk, vanilla extract, dash cinnamon, drizzle of agave, drizzle of EVOO. Today I added 5 baby carrots which made it a little thicker & ups your fiber. This shake does not give me the headache I have gotten from other meal replacements that have too much sugar and not enough protein. I feel satisfied for hours and am not always contemplating my next meal. You have to experiment with a recipe that works for you.

Did the initial "fast" (they recommend 1-2 weeks) for 10 days. 3 drinks a day + V-8 (low sodium) and vegetable broth. None of these curbed my appetite. Lost about 6 lbs., but now after 5 weeks., I'm stalled at a total of only 8 lbs. lost, despite drinking this for breakfast & dinner + a mid-day sensible meal (proteins & low-carbs). I think the only reason I initially lost weight is because the daily caloric intake ("fasting") was so low (only drinking Almasad, no food). It tastes fine (I actually like it), but it is loaded with sugar & carbs (compared to Trader Joe's Designer Protein and/or Atkins drinks), plus it's at least twice as expensive. Perhaps Almased works for some, but after two different "trials" (one a year ago), it's been a waste of $$ for me! As far as its claims of "speeding up & improving" one's metabolism? Hogwash!

I followed the 14 day weight loss plan but tweaked it for my use. I supplement 3 meals daily for 5 days. Then stage 2 for a week and stage 3 at the end. I had no issues with the taste, it was good. I take diarectics for high blood pressure so I had no water weight to lose. I lost 8 pounds, 12 inches in my upper body and firmed up my muscles with no exercise. I loved the results. It is expensive even at the drugstore.com price so I am continuing to use it 3-4 times a week to maintain my results. It's been great so far about 3 weeks.

I have been using this product for 10 days and I have lost 12 pounds. I am doing the 14 day fast, yes it is hard but this product actually keeps you full. It doesn't really taste all that great but you can stomach it, if you add flavor to it.

I was hesitant to order due the the cost per serving size but gave it a try... and glad I did! NO stomach or intestinal upset and a 6 TBS serving in my breakfast smoothie holds hunger at bay at least 4-5 hours. I am s-l-o-w-l-y losing weight as I only have 1 serving a day. The taste is mild and kinda boring on it's own but works nicely with whatever I have mixed it, fruit, greens, veggies... GOOD PRODUCT!

I now use the Almased 1 or 2 times a week in place of meals--Helps me keep the weight off that I used when I originally started with Almased. I still love the flavor--with almondmilk, cinnamon, vanilla,ground flaxseed and a tsp of coconut oil--it tastes great!

I add cinnamon, 1 packet of equal and vanilla flavoring to my shake. It's better with ice cold water. I wish it wasn't as expensive so I could afford to buy it more often. It doesn't last very long when you make 2 or 3 shakes a day.

To supplement your diet, mix 8 tablespoons (48 g) of the powder with 10-12 oz of cold liquid, such as bottled water, low-fat or skim milk of unsweetened juice.
