I bought these for use with facial cleanser and toner after I ran out of my usual cosmetic cotton squares. These are absolutely NOT a replacement for those. If you've ever given blood, you will recognize these as the type of gauze square that the nurse will fold up and place under a band-aid at the site of the puncture. When used with cleanser or toner, they completely fall apart.
Maybe I'll be able to use these for nail polish removal, or something, but they are definitely not for use on the face.

This is way better than using those standard cotton pads because the cotton doesn't tear apart all over your skin. I use it for taking off makeup, putting on toner, and taking of my nail polish. Plus, you get more for the $$$$
