Do not use this medication if you have very sensitive skin or if you are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide.
When using this product avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use a sunscreen.
Avoid contact with the eyes, lips and mouth.
Avoid contact with hair or dyed fabric, including carpet and clothing which may be bleached by this product.
Skin irritation may occur, characterized by redness, burning, itching, peeling or possibly swelling. Mild irritation may be reduced by using the product less frequently or in a lower concentration. If irritation becomes severe, discontinue use; if irritation still continues, consult a doctor.
Using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following the use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a doctor.
Stop use and ask a doctor if skin irritation becomes severe.
Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
I have tried many cleansers for minor acne over the years, and this is the one I've come to love. My skin is on the sensitive side and has normal moisture. I have used this product consistently for the past three years and am overall very pleased with my results. I have tried using it twice a day before and have found that my skin becomes too dry, slightly red, and more sensitive. The concentration of benzoyl peroxide in this cleanser is a bit higher than in other cleansers, and because of this I usually only use it once a day (in the morning) and at night cleanse with something more gentle. In the mornings I use this cleanser, a non-alcohol toner, and a moisturizer with SPF.
PROS: - This product does a consistent job of clearing blackheads and also reducing my number of pimples (I used to get about 5 pimples/month and using this product I only get 1 or 2) - prevents skin from looking oily throughout the day - Even with my slightly sensitive skin it does not irritate it - Exfoliates well
CONS: - Using SPF with this product is fairly important; without it your face becomes ever-so-slightly rosy, not tomato red, but just red enough to be noticeable. - it sometimes can be a bit drying (especially in winter). The drying effects however are minor and are easily prevented with the use of moisturizer.
Overall, a reliable product for people with normal/oily skin that has been consistently clearing my blackheads and preventing my breakouts for the past three years.
Use this everyday in the shower for face, chest, and back. Follow up with a moisturizer for the face and chest. Has cleared up all three areas in a matter of weeks. Smells great, feels great, looks great.
Wet face. Gently massage all over face, avoiding eye area. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start using once a day, then gradually increase up to 2 times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce use to once a day or every other day. If going outside, use a sunscreen.
Keep tightly closed. Store at or below 77°F (25°C).
