I received a sample of this toothpaste , I tried it and it did actually whiten my teeth. I didn't realize my teeth were not as white as they could be. The problem was the taste of this Toms , it taste horrid & leaves a bad after taste in your mouth. I would recommend it only for whitening every once in a while as it is high priced, But also you need to make sure to rinse with a mouth wash or brush your teeth again with another tooth paste to get rid of the taste that this Toms leaves behind.

We have "greened" our personal products and went from Mentadent to Tom's. It works just as well but is a thinner consistency and frankly costs more. However, I think it's worth the extra cost to have a less toxic product. We also like the taste of all Tom's flavors we've tried.
Adults and children 2 years of age and older: brush teeth thoroughly, preferably after each meal or at least twice a day, or as directed by a dentist or physician.
Children 2 to 6 years: use only a pea sized amount and supervise child's brushing and rinsing (to minimize swallowing)
