I hate the way it smells, but it really does the trick. My boyfriend and I both use it as a daily shampoo. It doesn't dry out my scalp or hair, and I can always count on it to get all the product I put in my hair out.

A great shampoo for any hair type. This is not harsh and will not strip your hair-it's simply a good, basic, gentle shampoo with NO conditioners. The same goes for the Suave Naturals shampoos (the ingredients are almost exactly the same as this one), except for the "creamy" versions which contain Ammonium Xylenesulfonate, a drying/ irritating ingredient. I use this shampoo and it works great on my naturally curly "ethnic" hair. For people like me who can't STAND buildup or getting conditioning shampoo in their face, (most) Suave shampoos are great. If you ask me, shampoo should clean, not condition (leave that for the conditioner, if you want conditioning), and this shampoo cleans very nicely. Also a great bargain.

For a long time I had been using a volumizing shampoo, but my hair would be oily at the end of the day. I'd have to take a shower to go to the movies. I wanted to try something new, so I bought this just to test it out. To my surprise, it clarified extremely well and added more body than my volumizing shampoo did. My hair even looks wonderful the next day!

I have very thin straight and oily hair, and find myself washing it almost three times daily just to keep the greasy look away. I must say that with one use this shampoo did in fact reduce the oil, but did not leave my hair dry or brittle. I normally spend lots of money on Frederic Fekkai shampoos (highly recommend) but could not find anything for oily hair. I definitly recommend this, and will continue to use it!

Residue inevitably builds up on hair after repeated use of shampoo, conditioner, hair sprays, leave-in and whatnot, that's where this wonderful clarifying shampoo comes in: To get rid of all the residue on hair, regular shampoo simply doesn't cut it. I use it once a month. It worked splendidly! My hair was light and no longer coated after one use. Beware though, always apply conditioner generously afterward so your hair is properly moistured and conditioned. A big plus is the price, and in a big bottle, it doesn't get cheaper than this, people.

I have fine, curly hair, and I use this shampoo every week or two to remove build-up. I've tried several clarifying shampoos before, and they tend to dry my hair out too much and make it frizzy. This one doesn't do that as long as I use it no more than once a week. I always follow up with a good conditioner, and my hair ends up shiny and soft. This shampoo does strip hair color, though, so be warned. Overall, this is a nice product, especially for the price. This a good shampoo to use before a deep conditioning treatment.

Wow...I needed a clarifying shampoo because my hair had ridiculous build-up, so after reading the reviews, I tried Suave's. My hair has never felt so good. I have oily hair, so I need to wash daily, and this shampoo, teamed with a good conditioner leaves my hair very soft, clean, shiny and silky. Much better than shampoos that cost 5 times more. I'm not sure how it would be for dry hair, but if you have normal to oily hair, it's great.

Awesome awesome awesome! I swim everyday during the summer, and my hair is extremely curly. The chlorine makes it dry, brittle and with a countless amount of split ends, so I decided to try a chlorine-removing shampoo. At first, I used UltraSwim, and I had great results. However, the smell wasn't that great, and the bottle was small and very expensive. One day, I came across this shampoo. The price was low and the bottle was huge, so it looked like the answer to my problems. And let me tell you something: It certainly was! The smell is really nice, like a burst of spices, fruit, and herbs, and it isn't stripping at all. My hair has never looked better, and I will continue using this forever, for all my chlorine-removing needs!

A good shampoo at a sensible price, and no silly advertising.

I just gave up on searching for a good shampoo, and decided to go cheap by buying Suave. I am not sorry I did! It gently cleans my hair while leaving it clean and soft with no build-up or flaky scalp! I only give it a four because the smell is not my favorite, but this Suave shampoo is still worth it. Good quality product for a great price!
