For some reason, the manufacturer has decided to place a large paper (label) inside the clear box which makes contact with the q-tips. Parents often use these inside little noses and although I know the product is *not* sterile, I would think the swabs would be "cleaner" if they didn't have a piece of cardboard inside the box making contact with both sides of about 1/3 of the swabs.

Q-tips have been a staple in my house for years and this 3 pack is a great bargain. These hold up better when using than other similar products. I tend to buy this size and share a box with my daughter to save her some money. They are so versatile and you can use them not only for personal care, but cleaning pieces of jewelry.
