I've used Zicam with great success for years. I'm not a fan of the other melt-away flavors so I was very excited to see the mint back in stock... Until I opened the bottle. The company's new formula includes color and, unfortunately, I am allergic to blue dye.
I had to switch to Zicam's equivalent in the mouth spray. My symptoms and length of cold were better than everyone else who had a cold this winter. I especially dodged the awful head cold that gives me a fuzzy brain for a few days.

Adults and children 12 years of age and older:
Dissolve entire tablet in mouth. Do not chew. Do not swallow whole.
Take 1 tablet at the onset of symptoms.
Repeat every 3 hours until symptoms are gone.
To avoid minor stomach upset, do not take on an empty stomach.
Do not eat or drink for 15 minutes after use. Do not eat or drink citrus fruits or juices for 30 minutes before or after use. Otherwise, drink plenty of fluids.
