I took the product as directed when I felt a cold was coming on last Sunday. Felt a little worse on Monday, but by Tuesday I was feeling a lot better. Continued improvement the remainder of the week. Symptoms tapered off and felt my old self by Saturday of the same week. Without ZICAM, the symptoms would have lingered a full 2 weeks. I swear by this product. Though it is pricey, it definitely is worth what I paid.

I can't stand taking zinc lozenges or melts - I feel like your mouth is fuzzy for hours afterwards. Was so happy to see a mint alternative in a spray. I've used it for two colds and think it's wonderful. I think people that don't like the taste might prefer a cherry or fruity flavor. I can't stand the fruity flavors and think the mint is GREAT! It's so easy to use. I never used the swabs, so I'm only comparing the spray to lozenges and melts. So much better!

I do miss the swabs. I know they were discontinued due to fears of loss of smell. But they really worked. :'( The spray seemed to really help clear my head the first few times I took it, but YES it tastes horrible those first few minutes. Ick. I really don't think it shortened my cold, but it did help with symptoms.

This was the WORST tasting mist I have ever encountered. Used it ONCE! Could NOT use again, was forced to trash two bottles. I'm going back to the gel swabs ~~ they seem to be the most effective delivery system for me. I've tried the nasal gel spray (which doesn't get up high enough in the nasal passages) and tablets (supposed to let them melt in your mouth, but they taste bad too).
For best results, use at the first sign of a cold and continue to use for an additional 48 hours after symptoms subside.
Adults and children 12 years of age and older:
Spray four times in mouth at the onset of symptoms. Spray on inside of cheeks, roof of mouth and gums. Retain 15 seconds. Swallow.
Repeat every three hours until symptoms are gone.
To avoid minor stomach upset, do not take on an empty stomach.
Do not eat or drink for 15 minutes after use. Do not eat or drink citrus fruits or juices for 30 minutes before or after use. Otherwise, drink plenty of fluids.
Children under 12 years of age: Consult a doctor before use.
