I have suffered from eczema for years. The Dermatology Department at a local teaching hospital prescribed some prescription-strength cortisone (steroid) skin ointment. However, I was warned that it was very strong and should only be used on alternating weeks. It helped but didn't fully heal the eczema, probably because of the on-and-off regime. Then I noticed the skin where I applied the ointment was getting noticeably darker. After doing some research I discovered that topical ointments with steroids actually make the skin thinner, which is why the skin was getting darker and also why I was warned not to use it all the time. I then stopped using it altogether and tried different natural products instead. I'm very happy with both B&T's Florasone cream and Bach's Rescue Remedy. My skin is much more healthy looking and I only need to use either product when I have outbreaks. I wish doctors would at least consider or recommend natural remedies that are non-toxic and not harmful but I suppose large pharmaceutical corporations. Hopefully in time, more doctors will be open-minded about homeopathic and natural products. I know at present, it seems like only osteopaths, chiropractors, acupuncturists will even mention homeopathic alternatives. Here's hoping that will change soon. Be sure to read the ingredients to check for anything you might be allergic to, of course. But even though I have very sensitive skin that reacts easily, I've had no problems with B&T and Bach. Also works for insect bites, rashes, and patches of dry skin.

I purchased this product as an alternative, homeopathic medication for my eczema. I have moderate to severe eczema on my hands, and I was tired of using prescription, steroid-based creams that have made my skin very thin over time. This cream came in a 1 oz. tube and had a somewhat weedy or plant-like scent. It went on nicely and absorbed well, but did little to nothing for my eczema. I used the entire tube in just over a week, with no results. I had to switch to using 1% hydrocortisone cream to see any reduction in swelling and inflammation in my hands. If you have a very mild case of itching, this product may work for you. However, if you have skin that is very irritated and swollen, this product may not be strong enough for you.

Use immediately when rash, hives, psoriasis flares up...I like that it is ONE ingredient: cardiospermum tincture (10%). It is also natural homeopathic. After enduring a severe reddening on my temples and forehead off and on for over 10 years, seeing 4+ doctors and using numerous presciptions and OTC meds, I tried this as a last resort. It is amazing. The itching and burning are relieved. The redness dissipates after a while and the skin is calmed. My GP is impressed too.

I purchased instead of using cortisone cream. I was hoping it would cure an itchy rash around my neck and chin, but all it did was alleviate it. So I had to purchase a cortisone cream which did the job.

The best and safest alternative cream to cortisone. It works even better. Relieves itching almost immediately. No side effects. I would never go back to cortisone creams after using this. More effective and certainly much safer. My son used this for eczema on his 6 year old on a DR's recommendation.

Florasone wins hands down over synthetic steroids. Been using Florasone for 9 months for eczema, dry Winter skin, and whatever itches with no side effects (for myself and young children). The active ingredient is a natural plant steroid that is extracted from the is cardiospermum (or love in a puff) seed. I only wish the manufacturer would list the other ingredients. This product is made in Mexico, but I think the company is USA owned.

I have had a recurrent eczema type rash on my lower back, not relieved with otc cortisone creams. I also used prescription creams without relief. I tried the Florasone cream and found immediate relief. The rash has not returned, but I will keep it on hand for any future recurrence.

This is a great alternative to cortisone for those of us who are already using steroids (in my case, a steroid asthma inhaler) and don't want to add more. It works instantly! The purpose for which I bought it is more economically served by Monistat anti-chafing gel, but this makes a fine tool in my first aid drawer. A little doesn't go a long way; I think it would be easy to use up the tube fast.
