I own a older model of the Norelco Vacuum Trimmer and loved it. This is a great improvement with familiar features. This prevents accidental trim length changes with a more discreet dial, with precision cutting lengths that will fit any type of beard or mustache, sideburns or even trimming your hair. The vacuum prevents a messy shaving area, it is easy to clean. I could not ask for a better trimmer.

Was planning to replace my Norelco Vacuum Beard Trimmer after 5 years but this one could not be used for trimming hair. For 5 years, I did not buy a haircut because I trimmed once a week and the vacuum pulled in the hairs, so no mess. This one has the same cutter but the vacuum chute is too narrow and the hair clogs the cutter internally and gets blocked easily, so the machine needs to be taken apart and cleaned every 2 minutes. Ordered the hair trimmer to try next, but it lacks a vacuum and may make a mess.

This model vacuums away most of the hair clippings as you trim, making it easier to clean up when I use it over the sink. Some clippings get loose, as you could imagine. And the vacuum portal next to the blades makes it a little harder to use the blades to trim around the edges.
My older Norelco had click setting I could set by feel and this one has graduated marks I need to look at, but once I figured out the best settings, it's OK.
So, not as easy to use as my older Norelco, but it is nice to be able to do touchups whenever necessary without getting beard trimmings all over the place. And it has a Lithium Ion battery which should give it more charge capacity.

My husband loves this trimmer! He wears a goatee, but he said it's also usesful to trim his other manly area. The vacuuming feature is great. I don't have as much hair to clean up in the bathroom - YAY! The fact that the cord for this trimmer is interchangable with his razor is another plus. He keeps one cord packed with his travel kit and one at home. Great battery life on this trimmer too!

I think I like it better than the hubs does. I love that his trimmings aren't all over the counter. He does like it but says it takes some getting used to the manuverability of this trimmer. He wishes it had a pop up trimmer for tight spots such as nose hairs. All around good value though.
