I also ignored the bad reviews about this product and purchased it in 2012. Big mistake. It has never been truly accurate but now 2 years later it's ridiculous how off it is. It will no longer go back to zero (It's stuck at 5 or 10lbs, has been like that for over a year) and each time it gives you a different number when you weigh yourself. I just ordered another scale with better reviews that seems to be higher quality. I'm finally fed up trying to get this scale to work properly. I highly suggest avoiding this hunk of junk!

Just like the reviews I read and didn't listen to before buying this... the scale is terrible. It was cheap but not at all worth the money. It always needs adjusting and even after adjusting it's never accurate (I'm talking 4 lbs. off compared to my gym's electronic scale!) Its just a bad scale.

everytime i use these i have to readjust the dial back to zero- it never goes back to zero by itself which makes me wonder if the weight it shows when i step onto it is accurate or not- if i had it to do over i would have spent more to purchase a higher grade product -
Place your scale on a flat surface. A hard surface is best for maximum accuracy. Placing the scale on a soft, deep pile rug may affect the weight accuracy.
Locate the zero adjustment control at the foot of the scale and turn it to the left or right until the weight indicator points to zero.
Step on the scale and position your feet in a manner that will distribute your weight evenly over the entire scale platform. Stand still while reading the display.
Care: Periodically wipe scale surface down with a dry cloth to remove dust.
Note! It is normal for your weight to vary during a day and from one day to another. Slight changes in your weight are generally normal.
