I really liked these at first. My first few boxes worked seamlessly, however, my last shipment contained tampons where applicator would not freely slide to insert properly. It was a real problem and I have always used cardboard applicator tampons with ease. Maybe just a faulty box but I did see similar complaints in the reviews.
I've tried a few different brands of organic cotton tampons, and this one is my favorite. It feels the most like a regular tampon. It does have a cardboard applicator, which should be expected with an environmentally friendly organic product since plastic is neither environmentally friendly nor organic.
Hands down the best organic tampon on the market. I'm always awed by the complaints that the applicator isn't thin plastic -- because that's real healthy and great for the environment? Its a normal, biodegradable cardboard applicator. The tampons function perfectly, have never had any issues with breakage or leakage. Very reliable product and a great company to support.
Wrapper is too thick to tear, and the applicator too thin. E.g., attempting to open the wrapper often crushes the applicator, rendering tampon difficult or impossible to insert.
