Nutrition made simple. The balance of protein, fat and carbs is sensible and the bar is tasty, too. This particular one is my husband's favorite flavor. It travels well (doesn't get woefully melted in the summer when I throw it in my purse). Works as a healthy snack or even a meal substitute, far far better than 'fast food' when I'm hungry away from home.

Balance bars were a staple in my diet for nutrition, taste, and convenience. However, now that I've started to learn about the dangers of its key ingredients--High Fructose Corn Syrup (which causes fatty liver, among other undesirables) and Isolated Soy Protein (which is a highly processed product with potentially toxic residuals), I've decided to look for alternatives. It's just not enough for a "meal" to taste good.
