I purchased the Cool Bed to keep dog cool in summer, I put it on cool porch tile, but pad losses coolness with the dog's body heat. By itself was not as cool as expected, and on carpet not at all cool. It's a good dense pad for dog's elbows, etc., but very heavy to move around, and must avoid stepping on it.
