A diaper disposal system, the Playtex Diaper Genie: Advanced Disposal System. The revolutionary AIR-TITE system uses a five layer film and the Push-N-Lock clamp to lock away odor. The unscented, Diaper Genie refill cassette is easy to replace. Just remove the lid, open the top of the refill and place the new cassette into the pail. Each refill cassette has enough film to hold up to 270 diapers. Diaper Genie refills are to be used only with the Playtex Diaper Genie: Advanced Disposal System.
Please Note:These refills remain compatible with the Diaper Genie II Pail and the Diaper Genie II Elite Pail. Although the names and packaging of the pails and their refills have been updated, the products themselves remain the same.

Great for refilling diaper genie. Only issue is that it does not completely sit on the top of the genie, (there is no "built in" slot for it. But that is more a defect in the design of the genie than this product. I use these all the time. As long as you are aware that it somewhat "floats" on top, it's perfect.

I have 3 cats and use it for litter disposal and it keeps the house smelling so fresh. Never had a good way to dispose of used litter before.

These are not actually refills for the Diaper Genie II or Diaper Genie II Elite, despite what is pictured. Playtex no longer makes the refills that owners of these diaper pails are used to. Instead they have these "new" refills that do not work as well. They call them "Essentials" and "Elite" and the cartridge does fit inside the diaper pail. That, however, is where the compatibility stops. The clamp inside the pail which contains odors DOES NOT CLOSE all the way with the "new" refills, so there is suddenly a faint odor in the room. (It's not my pail, by the way -- mine still works with the disturbingly few Diaper Genie II Elite refills that I own and my pail is only 7 months old). Playtex doesn't care, I've spoken with them twice and emailed several times with no response. Don't be fooled, don't be sorry!

Makes sense to buy the 3 pack instead of the individuals, because plainly put..diapers happen :) I always try to buy another round when I get go to put my last one in. That way I never run out. Because running out is bad! haha
As far as the product goes, I like the Diaper Genie II the best -- I think loading it is extremely easy, even when you're sleep deprived. And yes, I don't empty it out every time it gets a little full..I just keep shoving diapers in till it just can't possibly hold anymore!
Step 1: Starting a new refill for the Diaper Genie Elite and Diaper Genie systems is a simple 3-step process. The red indicator line on the refill film will tell you when the refill is almost empty and needs replacing. To start a new refill, just pull the plastic tab off the top and pull the end of the film out of the canister far enough to tie a knot. Step 2: Take the refill canister to the Diaper Genie or Diaper Genie Elite and step on the foot pedal or open the lid depending on what model you have. Make sure you have enough film to cover the whole length of the pail. Step 3: Push the film into the unit through the clamp, and place the refill canister into the pail. Now the Diaper Genie is ready to go. Each refill canister accommodates up to 270 small diapers.
