Not sure why some of the reviews aren't great. These are really durable, and who doesn't like the select-a-size feature? Really like that they're eco-friendly too.

These paper towels are decent but needs improvement--they should be wrapped in paper instead of plastic and more towels should be added to each roll. Other than that, they're OK. They are stiff so they absorb fairly well and I like that they don't have a bad chemical smell. I will try other brands, but these are way better than Brawny, Bounty and Seventh Generation.

No, they're not as soft as Bounty. Just like recycled toilet paper isn't as nice as Charmin and compostable garbage bags not as good as the plastic ones.
But do they work? Yes. Sure, they are stiffer than Bounty, but honestly, once you get used to them they are perfectly decent. I did NOT like the Green Forest tissues at all, but we use their napkins, toilet paper, and paper towels and all of them are fine. Putting up with somewhat less cushy paper products seems like a small inconvenience for the environmental benefits.

These paper towels seem very cheap. they are thin, don't absorb much, and are not 10% as good as Bounty brand. I was hoping, but after trying these, I will not buy again.
Their tissues are better, though, and I like those.

I was looking for a chemical-free paper towel to wipe my baby's face with while eating. Her skin is quite sensitive. For that purpose, we like these paper towels better than the 7th Gen. We purchased both kinds, and these have a better texture. Of course, neither these nor 7th Gen can compare to the water-absoprtion and resiliency of a normal Bounty paper towel.

I generally use paper towels for lots of things including hand drying in the kitchen. Because my (long-time) previously bought favorite Seventh Generation natural color paper towels seem to no longer be offered here in a reasonably priced and handy size multi-package of maybe 6-12 rolls (only high priced single rolls?), I decided to try the Green Forest product. There is no comparison. Other (recycled content) white paper towels I've tried aren't as good as the Seventh Generation 'natural' ones either, but these Green Forest ones are the worst!
