I suffer from cervical headaches, so it was imperative for me to find a pillow that supports my neck when I go to sleep. I bought both the pillow and the wedge together, because I figured the wedge could be propped up against the headboard to allow me to sleep in the sitting position whenever I felt a headache coming. Everybody is different, so one has to experiment. After spending lots of time and money all over the web and in local stores, over the years, for expensive pillows and neck rolls that didn't work, I'm pleased to say that I have finally found what works for me. This pillow is actually rectangular in shape (not a roll), and rather flat; however it has soft, raised borders on all sides. When it arrived I was disappointed to see that it was not what I had ordered (a neck roll, as shown in the picture), but I was so desperately looking for something that worked that I decided to give it a try. I positioned the wedge flat on the mattress for slight elevation and placed the head-craddling pillow on top. All I can say is that during the past thirty nights I've only suffered once from a cervical headache, whereas before I bought this pillow the night headaches plagued me almost on a daily basis.
