I bought this as a cheaper option compared to Proactiv, which worked great on my skin. I would say this product definitely feels different than Proactiv. It stings my skin a little bit, and it does not clear my skin like Proactiv. But I will keep using it and see if it begins to work better. It does bleach towels and pillowcases, so make sure you use white for drying your face afterwards. I am a fan of Neutrogena, so I am glad they have a b. peroxide product at a lower cost that Proactiv (without requiring a membership!).

I've never left a review on DS, but had to come and leave one for this product. I sometimes get a few blackheads and the odd breakout, but my skin is generally clear, so I never have a set skin routine and I am very low maintenance with my skin. My skin's also very sensitive, so some products do more harm than good. Every time I come back to this product, my skin is glowing and I get complements. It leaves my skin looking really clean and glowy. It's a bit drying if I use it every day (my skin does get dry though), but I normally just used night cream after it, and don't have any issues.

Benzoil peroxide is the best acne fighting ingredient out there. Pro@ctiv has always worked wonders for me, but not that I am in my late 20's it dries the heck out of my skin. This is the next best thing. Still has BP in it, has simple ingredients, less chemicals, and doesn't dry my skin at all. I love the kind of sweet-mint smell also. I would suggest using this 2x a week along with the cleanser/mask version because you really don't need to and shouldn't use a scrub every day. I'm not sure why the "scrubbing beads" aren't the same as all other neutrogena scrubs. They are not smooth and round. Otherwise, good stuff!

After years of trying different acne fighthing products this is the absolute best I have found. I'm 33 years old, so I have tried a lot of stuff on all spectrums and spent a lot of money. I used to use DDF acne scrub ($38) which I loved but then they discontinued it, so I searched for something with similar ingredients and this was it. It was the benzoyl peroxide that was the main ingredient I was looking for because it did wonders for my skin. I actually like this product better than the expensive DDF I was using, it smells better, it makes my skin softer, it's not as harsh, and best of all, its[$]!! I am on my 2nd tube of this and I will never be without it. I just went on a 2 week vacation and didn't take it with me because I didn't want it to mess up the clothes in my bag if it leaked, because it does bleach my towels (I've switched to white towels). I couldn't wait to get home to use this product because my skin was a mess while I was on vacation. Within 2 days it is all clear again. Best acne product hands down!

This product is fantastic. I tried it b/c I heard benzoyl peroxide works wonders and it does! I have had problems for YEARS with those little tiny whiteheads that you can only see close-up in addition to getting frequent cystic, painful, underneath the skin pimples that take days, even weeks..to disappear. My skin looked really awful (to me) without makeup. When I first started using this I really liked the clay-like texture to the cleanser, it really sticks to the face so you can feel it working. I would say after a week and a half or so I noticed huge improvements. It's about 3 weeks later and my skin is so clear and smooth I can hardly believe it. I've never been this excited about a face wash.

This product worked wonders for me! I had a lot of clogged pores, ie little white bumps all over my cheeks and jaw. I started with the cleanser/mask, and that worked after awhile, but my skin broke out alot at first. Then I found this scrub, which is the same thing as the cleanser, just with an exfoliant. This did the trick for me. I use the scrub everyday, and the mask twice a week to work a little extra magic. My skin is finally clear! I also switched to Cetaphil daily moisturizer during this time, and I feel that has helped as well. My skin does feel a little tight after I use this, so I apply the moisturizer right away.

I just bought this product, and in 2 days it has bleached out parts of every towel it has come into contact with (it takes a day or two to see the full results)! It's clear it is the cleanser doing it - we conducted repeated experiments on a towel it had already ruined. No amount of rinsing your face stops the problem. I can't imagine why it's happening, but buyer beware.

It's a bit messy and removes color from clothing but being careful isn't much of a trade off for the benefits. It's a terrific acne product and leaves your skin feeling pretty smooth!

I've struggled with acne for the past 9 years and this is absolutely the only thing that has worked for me. Other Neutrogena products haven't worked for me, but this is the most effective exfoliant I've ever used but its gentle enough I've had to use it multiple times a day. It produced an almost immediate effect, clearing skin that even those 3-step products and accutane couldn't knock a dent in. I now use it with another cleanser and a salicylic acid treatment, with a sulfur mask helping clear up if I have problem days.
