These clips do a great job of holding my hair and never slip out. The only con on the clips is that over time (not many weeks) the color peels off the metal and they don't look good at that point because a silver color shows though. They are rather inexpensive, so I haven't minded buying more.

These clips (barrettes?) hold my thinning hair perfectly all day without needing any adjustment, and they never slip from where I place them. They are easy to use, inexpensive, and attractive without being too showy. I ordered an extra two sets to never be without them. :)

Once you get the hang of how to open and close these barrets, they are very useful, stay in place, and don't look ugly.

These small clips hold even the smallest amount of hair. It took me a while to figure out how to use them because I haven't used barrettes in many, many years, and these open and close differently. I finally realized that I had to press the middle to open and close the clips. My hair is thin and the clips hold all day without slipping at all. I'm not sure how the finish will hold up because I've only had them for a few weeks, but I'd recommend them.

I love these clips! They are se easy to use. Just open clip, place in hair and close. I have a lot of hair (thick & curly) and it keeps my hair in place. I definitely recommend Vidal Sassoon Sure Grip Clix. They are also quite affordable.

These clips are the best clips ever. I have smooth straight hair and all of the other clips that I have tried slip out. These clips stay put and look good, too! Love Them!

I'm growing out my shorter hair and wanted these to hold hair back and up on HOT days. I put them in at an angle, point down, at back of head and it looks great; a different french braid effect. The problem is that they keep sliding off - I thought they were supposed to work for thick hair but they wont close if you try to clip too much hair and slide out when you have the right amount of hair in them. I like the way they snap open/close, I like the comb-like backs - too bad they wont stay put. They ARE good to hold your hair back when washing your face or any time you don't need them to stay put.

I'm a 60-year-old with thin, wispy, baby-fine hair. These clips are the best I've ever found to stay in place for several hours during a busy work or play day. I'm buying several sets while they're available. No stores are carrying them in my area any more.

I use these on my 4 year old daughter's long, straight, smooth hair. They tend to hold better than the smaller, prettier ones generally made for children with not so much hair.

The only thing that worries me is that they have 3 pointy bits that help hold the hair, but when she is playing, sometimes I am afraid the pointy bits will stab her in the head! So far it hasn't happened ... I also wish they had some in other colors.
