One word of caution, however. Only use this on clean, dry nails or dry polished nails. I made the mistake of using one of these buffers just after I'd conditioned my cuticles, and the cuticle oil quickly ruined the properties of the buffer. It no longer worked, so please don't make that same mistake. Use it on clean, dry nails or dry polished nails only and it will work like a charm! But the shape of it is odd, and since the edge is the most useful part, there is a lot of wasted real estate. The surface itself is not durable at all. After just two buffings, the green side started leaving green residue in my cuticle (making it look like I have some weird fungus growing around my nails), and the shine side was no longer working. I'm still mystified at the glowing reviews of this product. People must have written right after receiving it in the mail. Fortunately not too expensive an item, but the waste is a shame. Comments about Revlon Crazy Shine Nail Buffer, 1 ea: This does a great job of buffing your nails, and giving them a brilliant shine. However, you must have an additional emery board or nail file in addition to this, as any rough edges will snag the material and ruin the surface of the pad.

Comments about Revlon Crazy Shine Nail Buffer, 1 ea: No problems using it on all parts of my nails. And I use all parts of both surfaces of the buffer. After reading the other reviews, I don't think I will have the problem some described—wasted surface. If the time comes when I want the surface to be more flexible, I will simply cut the buffer in half (horizontally), separating one element from the other, then bend, fold, or cut either half into the shape I desire. This item is really quick and easy to use.

This is easy to use to get a nice natural and amazing shine on my nails. But the portion that is needed to get to the edges of the nails is the edge of the buffer. This section wears out quickly.
