I sent the single cup coffee brewer that I had to son at college and purchased two of these, one for me and one for a gift. I liked my old one better; this one is a bit bigger and doesn't have a handle. Also, as I read in some of the reviews, I do believe that coarser ground coffee would work better. It does make a quick cup of coffee, but I have to use more grounds to get the coffee strong enough for my liking; the water runs through it pretty fast. I buy already ground coffee and I don't think there's a choice of coarseness so... if you grind your own coffee, this would be good for you, or if you like fairly weak coffee. The last time I made a single cup using this, I used 2 filters which seemed to slow down the process some.

We use this when traveling places where you can't get real (strong) coffee. You can always have your favorite blend of coffee. Convenient when camping if you only want a cup or two.

This gadget easily brews a cup of coffee. You can make it as strong as you like. I use this when I just need one cup, like in the evenings or when it is really cold outside. You should use the recommended filter because you will get the best results. Great for travel too.

I bought this as an impulse buy to use at work where I have access to hot water. It was low cost and convenient to use when I don't want to break out the coffee maker. The problem is it brews a weak coffee. The drip hole is too large and the water doesn't steep long enough. Also the coffee isn't too hot since there's no hot plate. I've used it maybe five times the most.

I have tried this product with course and finely ground coffee. Fine grind wins! I like the taste and speed of brewing finely ground coffee or espresso. The courser the grind, the longer i had to wait for my brew. Try the fine grind, or make your favorite coffee finer in your own grinder, and get your coffee on FASTER!

The original Melitta cone was smaller and had a real cup handle on the side whereas this uses a long extended lip on the top as a handle. After using it a few times the difference was forgotten. AND, this is a bigger cone which easily holds the 4-8/12 filters in case I want to fill a super-cup for the road.

Every year we go to England to visit family and while the trip is lovely, the only negative is the awful "instant" coffee served in most hotels. I was looking for a way to be able to make a single cup of my favourite freshly brewed coffee but it also had to be small, portable and lightweight enough for the suitcase. Stumbled across this fabulous little product and Drugstore had the best price. I've already tried out the product and the coffee tastes great. All you need is hot water to make a great cup of coffee. Can't wait to take it on our next trip overseas.
