I thought this would be a good way to have filtered water in my bathroom when I take my meds twice a day. WRONG! When I squeeze the bottle, water leaks and no matter how tightly I try to turn the lid, it still leaks. Waste of money! Also, I contacted Brita, and they never responded.

I take this bottle everywhere--to work, running around town, car trips, etc. It saves weight in my shoulder bag b/c I can take it empty and fill it when I arrive. It does make a little noise when you drink from it, which can be annoying in a meeting or classroom, but that's a small price to pay for having filtered water without the bad conscience of disposable bottles. The leaking others have complained of seems to be caused by the multi-part cap and carrying strap. If I pull down on the strap while screwing on the lid, and occasionally check that all parts are tight, I have no problems. Just carry it separately from your laptop, in case.

This is a great bottle. I have my own water drinking system I use at work. I fill my Brita Bottle, now having good tasting water, and then I have a large plastic cup that has a lid and straw. I transfer the water into the cup and I have a convient way to drink water at my desk, no worries of spills. I seem to drink more water this way. I feel I have saved money by not using plastic bottles and don't need to dispose of plastic to our environment

I carry it all over so I don't ever have to buy a bottle of water. I'm saving money. The only problem is that water is a little clumsy to carry...so what!

Before use, wash water bottle in top rack of dishwasher or by hand with warm water and mild detergent. Unscrew cap and insert filter. Fill bottle with tap water. Screw cap with filter onto bottle and pull up on spout to open. Squeeze 1 full bottle of water through filter to remove black carbon dust. Refill water filter bottle and enjoy.
