I bought this based on other reviews. At first I hated it, it actually burned my skin! I kept trying it because it cleaned my face really well. I only use a little bit at night and it is now the best face wash I have ever used. It washes away all my eye makeup and seems to be helping with my rosacea.

Amazing cleanser for oily, acne prone adult skin. I have tried so many products for oily skin, but they are too drying and irritating. Not the case with this cleanser, at least for me. My skin is clean and soft after washing. I use it 2 to 3 times a day with no peeling or flaking, and this has been my routine for months. I use Earth Therapeutics Clari-T serum during the day, and 1 drop Desert Essence Jojoba mixed with 2 drops DE Tea Tree Oil at night and my skin is clearer than it has ever been. I am so happy to have finally found a simple routine that keeps me clear, and it is without drugs or harsh chemicals!

Love it! Love it! Love it! I have incredibly sensitive skin that will break out with the slightest change in my facial routine, but this stuff is amazing. My skin is clean but not irritated or dry after washing (I only use it once a day at night). My blemishes are diminishing and my skin feels super soft. I use a vitamin E cream after washing. The only downside is that it smells a little funky--combination of tea tree oil and lavender oil, but it doesn't bother me enough to stop using this.

This would probably be a great product for a young person with very oily skin. I am in my mid-30s with combination/oily skin and it was far too drying for me. I didn't particularly like the smell, either--it seemed chemical to me. But it definitely lives up to its name of "thoroughly clean"! Just not something for older or sensitive skin.

BURNED my skin!! I have breakouts and thought the tea tree would help but it actually made it worse. I know it's that because nothing else was modified and I have 3 new cystic type of blemishes in areas I never break out, along with a whole new bunch of blemishes in areas that I do break out. Unless it is very diluted it BURNS, and diluted it made me break out. No thanks to either of those.

This is just so-so. It is very similar to Dr. Bronner's soaps. I didn't like the feel of it on my face, so I'm using it on the acne on my back and chest.

Awesome, I love everything about it. It cleared up my skin in 2 days, and no breakouts since. I follow it with a very light application of tea tree oil (soak a cotton pad with water, then just 1 drop of tea tree oil. Any more will be very drying and will sting!), then a few drops of jojoba oil, then an Avalon Organics moisturizer. My skin is dewy and clear, and has never looked better. A little goes a long way, and this bottle will last forever. I can't say enough about this product - try it, you have nothing to lose and beautiful skin to gain!

While I am definitely a product junkie, this is one of the only products I've never thought of straying from. Before I started using Thoroughly Clean face wash my face was a total mess - broken out, irritated, and oily. Now it's much more calm, with only the occasional (and short-lived) pimple. Granted, this will dry you out a bit, especially if you have sensitive skin. I usually leave my face a bit damp and then apply a few drops of jojoba oil - this seems to prevent any dry patches from forming. It's true that the pump is a little unwieldy (almost every surface in my bathroom has been hit at one time or another!), but this is a small price to pay for such an amazing and simple product (plus, it's only soap, it washes right out!). I highly recommend for anyone with problem skin who wants to simplify their routine.

I love this product!! I have been using this cleanser for about a month, and I do not plan on trying anything else. I have tried so many facial cleansers that have not given what they promised. This is wonderful. It leaves your skin clean and soft. I did not have many breakouts (1 or 2 from time to time), but I did have some blackheads (nose area) that are now mostly gone. My reason for trying this was excessive oiliness; now my skin is more in the normal range for oiliness. My teenage sons have seen a huge improvement in breakouts and blackheads - there are practically none now. Also, they have been using the tea tree oil pads. It is like water, so I bought the refill bottle and poured a portion into a used pop-top shampoo bottle. That way I am able to pour a small amount into my hand (very concentated) without pouring out the whole bottle. I highly recommend this cleanser.
