Hooked on Protein!

Bottom Line: recommended

After a workout one morning I stopped into a coffee shop and bought a high protein shake. It tasted chalky (yuck), but I drank it b/c it was good for me. What I didn't expect was how totally GREAT I felt the rest of the day! I was hooked on protein. I immediately started researching protein powders and decided to go soy (I figure I can¿t go wrong adding more soy into my diet). I add a portion of the serving into my morning yogurts. It mixes just fine, no taste, just a tad bit of chalkiness. But, truth is, I'd take this stuff no matter what! I am not a "health nut" per se, but if something makes me feel good, I do it. I start every day with a handful of vitamins and antioxidants, and a couple protein packed yogurts - and keep a can in the office for an afternoon yogurt pick-me-up. It's easy and healthy and makes me feel great. It¿s one of the easiest healthy habit to add to my life.

Tried my best to mix this stuff to make it edible, but had no luck. I find that it does have a strange, chalky flavor. Glad to see some folks can stomach this, but it's the worst tasting powder mix I have ever purchased.

The only soy protein powder I've found with virtually no flavor at all (unlike many that are vanilla-flavored). A little chalky, but that's par for the course. Post-jaw surgery, I've been mixing it with smoothies, vegetable juice, oatmeal, broth and more. Great stuff, I will buy it again!

I love it! I am bedridden and have decubitus ulcers. I do not take in enough protein in my diet so I need to use a supplement. I mostly drink it in iced tea and am very happy with how it dissolves without changing the taste. I am also very happy with the amount of protein in each scoop. And, it is very reasonably priced.

Terrible. A whey supplement with a vanilla flavor mixes better in almost anything. This is chalky- just gross.

I despised this the first time I tried it! I mixed it with a spoon into skim milk. BLEH!!! Gawd awful. The next time I used the blender - 75% improvement and actually palatable! Now I also throw in a banana and voila, it's great! I only wish it came in a 25 pound tub.

This Twinlab Soy Protein product is one that I keep coming back to. I buy Nestle's strawberry powder mix and I mix the soy with milk and the Nestle's in a blender and I love it. The taste is not overwhelming, and the powder dissolves pretty well in milk. I've tried it in other juices and drinks but didn't like it.

This is a very nice product. I'm impressed with the energy it provides, that it's vegetarian, and that it doesn't have much fat. It kept me going for a long time. The protein content is also very high, which makes it a very good diet food. The only drawback is that you have to take a large serving to meet the requirement. It's reasonably priced.

Vege Fuel from Twinlab is a great dietary supplement made from isolated soy protein. There's almost no taste to this product so it can be added to any fruit juice (I used pineapple, yummy). Also, unlike other protein powders I've tried, Vege Fuel powder was very smooth and wasn't lumpy when mixed with fruit juice. It would be great if Twinlab could make these in different flavors, like vanilla. I'd definitely recommend this product to my family and friends.

The TwinLab Vege Fuel Isolated Soy Protein is a great supplement for my diet. The product has all the necessary ingredients to complete my daily intake of protein. The first day I tried to mix it into my orange juice with a spoon. This was a big mistake. Although the container says you can use a spoon, use your blender. The product has the consistency of baby powder so it mixes thoroughly in the blender but clumps on the spoon. The biggest thing I like is that it was truly without taste. It added texture to my drink but didn't give it a bad flavor or aftertaste. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who has a blender.
