While most conventional carbon filters only filter certain substances from your water, Zero Water's patented Ion Exchange System, with FIVE combined technologies, provides the only filtered water that meets FDA definition for purified bottled water.
Stage 1 - Activated carbon infused micron cloth,
Stage 2 - Multi-layer system using activated carbon and oxidation reduction alloy,
Stage 3 - Distributor that maximized contact,
Stage 4 - Comprehensive ION EXCHANGE array,
Stage 5 - Non-woven membrane to remove fine particles.
Filter cartridge life is based on household water consumption and inlet water quality. How often the cartridge needs to be replaced is determined by how much water you put through the system and how hard the cartridge has to work to clean the water you put through it. Each filter has perforations or holes in the top.
The holes exist to help speed up the filtering process and avoid potential cases of air lock in the water flow. Filtering your water through Zero Water filters not only improves the taste of your tap water, it also prevents you from throwing plastic water bottles into the trash and clogging up landfills. Zero Technologies, LLC is proud to be the only major company that recycles gravity filter cartridges from U.S. customers.
Comments about Zero Water 5-Stage Ion Exchange Replacement Filter, 8 ea:
I have been using Zero water since the product came on the market. I have to drink good water since I have cancer. I purchased the filters for the large container I bought. It's just as cheap to buy them from Drugstore.Com as any other place. I hope they continue to carry these filters.

Comments about Zero Water 5-Stage Ion Exchange Replacement Filter, 8 ea:
The TDS Tester helps you determine when it's time to replace the filter just in case your tastbuds don't tell you first. The difference between the tap water and water that's been filtered is incredible. We highly recommend this product.

Comments about Zero Water 5-Stage Ion Exchange Replacement Filter, 8 ea:
The zero water filters do a great job. When the fishy smell starts it is time to change the filter. As you will be able to tell by your meter. The quality of your water depends on how long the filter lasts. I love the taste of "NO TASTE" in our water and knowing there is no "yuk" in it. I used another water filter for years. No comparison. Thank you Zero Water.

Comments about Zero Water 5-Stage Ion Exchange Replacement Filter, 8 ea:
I was very disappointed that after three weeks the filtered water emitted a fishy odor. The information booklet said a strong odor indicates that the filter needs changed. If I had known this, I wouldn't have thrown out my fifteen year old faithful Brita!
