This is an oral remedy. You put the directed number of drops in a few ounces of water and sip.
Over the past several years I have found this to be an effective product. I have a wooded yard with intractable poison ivy. It will keep me from breaking out if I've taken it before exposure, but it is soothing and reduced itching plus prevents additional spreading if I don't catch the PI in time.
Makes sure you check the expiration date on the box/bottle. It does make a difference.

I bought this for my son who works outdoors and is exposed to poison ivy regularly. He took it as directed and we ended up taking him to the doctor for shots to reduce the swelling in his face. He swelled up as if he had been exposed to a bad case of it. It says Poison Ivy as on the label as the contents, and yep, IT IS!
For prevention: 3 to 5 drops in 1/4 glass of water daily by mouth 7-14 days before exposure and continue throughout the poison ivy season. For treatment of symptoms: 10 drops in 2 ounces of water every 2 hours as needed. As symptoms improve, decrease to once every 4 hours, then twice daily until symptoms disappear. Place drops under tongue in 2 ounces of water at least 15 minutes before or half hour after eating, brushing teeth or drinking anything except water.
