So far I've tried three brands of DHEA and this one had the most noticeable effects. Based on my research, you could take more than one of these per day safely, but my boyfriend and I felt giddy--happy and vital--with one of the 50 mg. I am currently using Natrol and also tried Country Life, but will order this brand again once we are out of our current supply. I've rarely taken any vitamin or supplement that conferred a noticable change in mood with the first dose, but this product had an immediate and uplifting effect. I am taking it for overall health benefits, nothing specific, so that's all I can address.
I started taking DHEA because I read an article that said this hormone started diminishing early in life. I had always wanted long,healthy nails, but they broke off so easily (especially during really cold weather) that I seldom ever managed to grow what I dreamed of having. I was in my 50s when I started taking DHEA. A few weeks later, I noticed my nails were growing out. They grew & grew & became so very strong. I applied a certain color polish that seemed to get everyone's attention. If I placed my hands on a counter & pointed to a product, it was nothing unusual for the sales person to gasp & asked "Who does your nails?" In the ladies room, when I washed my hands, I often heard the same thing. It's been over 20 years, & they still go months w/o one breaking off.
