Every year or so I conduct my own extensive sunscreen research. Armed with ewg.org and their Guide to Safer Sunscreens and hours checking website reviews and shopping trips to stores that carry the products I'm most interested, I tackle this important routine for my family. We are a family with sports minded children and a husband who travels the world on film shoots. Protection from UVA/UVB, especially during the summer rates high, along with healthy eating.
In years past, I sacrificed ease of application and smell for premium protection, but with new technology, I no longer have to make those sacrifices. We've used Cotz, Jason, Badger, and Dr. Robins and found they all have benefits. With Thinkbaby I feel confident because EWG rates it their highest "excellent" rating for both UVA and UVB protection, as well as its stability, with an overall score of their highest 1. My kids say it smells great (a combo citrus and coconut scent) and isn't oily. I think there is a slight white cast upon applying, but within 5 minutes, it disappears. (We have olive/white skin.) You can almost look at this as a way to physically see which areas you've covered and which you've missed. It goes on smoothly, which is a plus. I'm going to see how it performs at the beach, but so far, thumbs up!

Natural sun screams are tricky. This sun cream works very well. Used it on my fair complexion child at the beach. Non irritating to sensitive skin. It blends in well (no paste face) and it really works. It should be reapplied every 2 hrs. I found it rubs off in water and sweat more easily than the "unnatural" brands.
I like how gentle this is and that it actually works. My kid can spend hours in the pool and with proper application not look like a lobster. It smells fantastic too.

Comments about thinkbaby sunscreen SPF 50, 3 oz:
I really like this sunscreen and the ingredients. It smells so good. The only issue I have is it takes a while to blend into the skin which is hard to do with a 10 month old, when all they want to do is move around.

After extensive research of sunscreen produts that are best for children with allergies and reactions this one came out on top. It works great and I will NEVER use a different brand for a child.

Good for sensitve skin, but greasy

Comments about thinkbaby sunscreen SPF 50, 3 oz:
I developed an allergy to chemicals in sunscreens/sunblocks about 3 years ago and have been searching for effective sun protection that will not make me break out in hives on my face. This product was good for my sensitive skin and I used in when swimming in the ocean. However, it is much too greasy for wearing otherwise.
I love that this is SPF 50+, but I don't love the scent. I am very sensitive to fragrances and this sunscreen's scent bugs after a while. Eco Logical's sunscreen smells bad initially, but it goes away quickly. This smells okay initially, but the scent starts to stink after a while if it's put on the face. Also, this contains Dimethicone, which is rated 3 by the EWG database.

Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply: After 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, at least every 2 hours. Protect this product from excessive heat and direct sun.
