This product is superb for daily moisturization and protection from the sun. Take note, that it is not a sunblock and is only suitable for general day light exposure. The feel of the product once applied is silky, yet light. It offers complete coverage and does not clog the pores. The fragrance is appealing and fades quickly. Great product!
I'm a huge fan of Palmer's coco butter lotion and the chap stick, using them for years. I was thrilled to see their inexpensive line of facial products and bought the daily moisturizer with SPF. I have combination skin and am acne prone. When I bought this my skin was going through a dry cycle, and the greasiness seemed to work initially. After a few minutes my face got red and started to burn. My skin isn't sensitive, as I try tons of products, so I gave this a week. The irritation got progressively worse, and my face was very oily thought the day. It took another week for the dryness and burning to go down, and for my skin to get back to normal. I ended up returning it and switched to Cerave am.
On a side-note, this has an old school lightly floral scent, which felt like something grandma used to use.
I've been using this for a few weeks now. I have normal to dry skin -- occasional blemishes. I've not had any breakouts. There is a hint of cocoa fragrance, but it fades quickly. I use this under Bareminerals Ready foundation and find this lotion not only hydrates well, but eliminates the need for a primer. I only touch up about once a day with this combination. Just give it a few minutes to absorb before applying makeup. Be careful not to get into your eyes - as stated on the label. Awesome. Comfortable to wear.
I guess this moisturizes alright. It doesn't seem to really absorb that well. By that I mean it will help moisturize but it doesn't completely sink in. Hours later if I touched my face I could still feel it like it was laying on top of my face. And worst of all if I then touched my eyes...WOW !! It stung my eyes. Will not buy again. The smell is not great either.
I use this face lotion every day and absolutely love it. I have dry skin with occasional minor adult acne, so I need facial lotion that is soothing and moisturizing without being greasy or clogging my pores. Plus I want to make sure that I always have sun protection on my face and neck.
I apply Palmer's Daily Facial Lotion every morning and let it absorb for a few minutes before putting on my makeup. It leaves my skin smooth and moisturized, without being greasy or having an overpowering scent. (In fact, I can just barely smell a light, fresh scent from it, which quickly fades.) Not only does it keep my face moisturized and protected from the sun, but it also helps my primer and makeup go on more smoothly.
Having such complex skin I shy away from putting on any products on my face but have to use some type of moisturization during the winter months. So far this product works well. It has a somewhat medicine smell but it disappears rather quickly. What I do like is I am able to rub the remaining amount on my hands where I find this product to be very softening and non-greasy.
I love this product! Moisturizes my skin so well and contains an SPF 15 for those days when I am too lazy to put on my makeup with an SPF. The regular Cocoa Butter scent is too strong for my face, so I'm glad this has a lighter floral smell. Great for everyday use and a great price!
Apply daily to the entire face and neck after cleansing, avoiding the eye area. Allow several minutes to absorb completely before applying makeup. For best results, use in conjunction with the full line of cocoa butter facial products.
