This is a great product and perhaps the only dry form of vitamin D available on the market (as far as I know). It is D3 (natural form) that gets absorbed in our body much better than D2 (synthetic form). Also, it is a relatively lower dose (400 IU) so you have more control over the amount/dose you want to take every day. My vitamin D blood level was below normal (was 10) and it came back to within normal range (close to 30) after taking 1 capsule every day for three months. Our boy cannot swallow any pill orally. Because pretty much all vitamin D comes in a soft gel form (usually in vegetable oil), we searched for one that can be mixed in his milk (e.g. powder). We found this product several years ago, and we have been using it ever since. We noticed that it dissolves in his milk well and, when it is mixed in milk, it gives a nutty taste ---and our boy loves it. This would be great for mixing in your power shakes or any other healthy drinks. And good for little children who have not yet learned to swallow pills or elderly people who have hard time swallowing. We are thankful for this excellent product, and hope that Nature's Way will continue making it available.

When I comparison shopped, I realized 400 IU in a large capsule was not as economical as 1,000 IU in a much smaller capsule. Probably will order something different when this is gone.

Good gawd, if I knew they were this big and I had to take 3 of them, I NEVER would have ordered them. I thought they would be those itty bitty capsules. I liked the price so I ordered 3 and now I have to choke down 3 huge capsules a day.

Product works just fine, but I prefer the brands that utilize the very small gelcaps that are 1/4 the size of these capsules.
