I have struggled with acne on my eyelids of all places for the past few years. I searched internet skin-care and dermatological resources for a solution, because my dermatologist's recommendations were not helping. After finding a good dermatologist's blog, I decided to try La Roche-Posay's Toleriane line. I was hesitant, because most products contain too many ingredients, or natural ones that ironically irritate skin. I also didn't want to spend so much money. Still, I was so desperate I decided to risk it. I'm very happy to say Toleriane Ultra is extremely gentle, non-irritating, and helps keep my eczema patches hydrated. It's not an eczema cure, obviously, but, it helps to cut down on the redness and scaling I've experienced on my eyelids. What amazes me most is that I can use this moisturizer anywhere, and it does not produce an allergic reaction. It has very few ingredients, mostly glycerine, so it shouldn't irritate most people's skin. I wish it was cheaper, though: I use it on my fingers and it's eliminated my dry, cracked nails and cuticles, for example, so I'm almost out of the (very small) bottle. I would drink this stuff if I could.

I have rosacea and use Toleriane Ultra at night under my prescription antibiotic cream. Ultra prevents any drying and doesn't interfere with the absorption of the Oracea.

Anyone with highly sensitive skin is likely to find this a great product.

I am a 49 year old woman living in New England and I have a touch of Rosacia on my skin, periodic flushing cheecks and winter dry skin. This lotion is wonderfully hydrating and does not irritate skin in any way. It has no fragrance and is very soothing. I have been using the LRP cream cleanser and my rosacia is better and my skin is cleaner and smoother. For the cold New England winter months I need the Toleriane Riche which is heavier, but for spring to fall the Toleriane Ultra is a fantastic hydrating lotion. I use it at night and wake up with silky smooth skin and it NEVER irritates! It is pricey, but a little goes a long way! Fabulous product!
