I only style my hair with a blow dryer for special occasions, so was looking for something lightweight, inexpensive, small & easy to handle. Because of this, I thought it would be safest to go with a travel size dryer. This Conair is nice and light, but, with a 9 inch barrel, it's a little bigger than I would like. This length also makes it a little harder for me to handle. So far that is my only complaint. It does a nice job and it dries my hair pretty quickly, so I'll keep it and I'm sure I'll get used to the size.
