I guess you get what you pay for-- Though it is the hard-to-find 5/8" shaft, it does not have an ON/OFF switch. You MUST unplug it. The tension on the flap that holds your hair to the shaft is not very tight either. It has me still looking for a replacement.

The item was mis-represented as an "Instant Heat" curling iron, which it is NOT. It takes a good deal of time to heat up and there are no settings to adjust the temperature. The iron performs well for what it is and the price was good.

Wanted an iron for home and travel. The barrel is 5/8 inch which is great for short hair. The length of the iron is compact for travel. The only con is it doesn't have an on/off switch but works fine. Just plug in to heat up and curl. I'm very satisfied with this product. It meets my basic need.

Takes a LONG time to warm up, doesnt get hot enough and just didnt curl well. I guess I should have known better... cheap curling irons just wont cut it for thicker hair. Dont buy unless you have extremely fine hair.

Did you send the right curling iron? It looks like the picture but it isn't instant heat, it takes a while. The box calls it Curls 'n Curls. Nowhere on the box or instructions does it say instant heat. It is model CD11JBC. That said, I love it and I would not send it back. It is little and does a super job. It has a set heat temperature that seems perfect. I like the compactness. My other two instant heat curling irons are bigger overall, and adjustable heat. But they do heat up in seconds and this one doesn't.

This is very easy and comfortable to use, but the barrel is just a little too short compared to other curling irons. Would be perfect if just a little longer.

I use this Curling Iron every morning. It heats up quickly, it is light, has no buttons to get in the way! It doesn't build up with old hair spray but stays clean. I love it and have bought several some for gifts and some to save in case they stop making it. I highly recomend it!!
