My acupuncture practitioner told me that anything you can use to stimulate circulation promotes healing. I have chronic pain issues and have been using this product for years. It really helps relax tight muscles, the heat function is soothing, and I can feel the improvement in my circulation within minutes. I always keep an extra one as a back up so when I wear mine out, I have a new one available immediately. I can't get to sleep unless I spend enough time on the mat every night. Excellent, drug-free pain relief.

I use the product a few times a day for short amounts and you can just feel the tight muscles get a bit looser. It's not a replacement for a real massage but middle of the work day or sitting at homing vegging out it's a good relief.

I guess you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a seat warmer for the car, this may suffice. But the massage aspect is lacking. I have had back and neck problems for years, so I was looking for a simple cushion that would use a decent set of rollers to massage. All you get is very limited number of spots that vibrate slightly with an option to turn the heat on also. Very disappointing.

Works great for my husband with chronic back pain. He uses it in his truck. Makes him much more comfortable. It's the second one he's had. (Our puppy chewed the cord when left alone in truck.) Dr. Scholl's is the best one on the market.
