Each month, I rotate the probiotic/acidopholis tablets I use on the recommendation of a nutritionist who told me that your system can get accustomed to one kind, making it less effective. When I switched from Trader Joe's acidophilus/probiotic to Culturelle, I didn't notice anything. But when I switched to this one, I immediately had a reducion in the amount of gas produced and felt better after each meal. Perhaps coincidentally or not, bloating/belly fat around my mid-section went down. Now I'm on a different brand and I'm getting a little gassy again. Seems that this one works better than others.

It isn't listed on this site, but on the box for ingredients, it lists "fish gelatin (tilapia)". I used this for a few weeks without realizing it and have been suffering from rashes. I finally found the culprit was the pearls... right there listed on ingredients on the box. It should be listed on this site also. However, I do believe other than my allergic reaction, the product was doing it's intended purpose.

I use it daily, mainly to help with gas and bloating. I have tried many probiotics and this is certainly the most effective that I have found yet. A great advantage was also that it did not need to be refrigerated and therefore it is particularly good for travelling.

This Enzymatic Therapy product, Acidophilus Pearls active cultures, is a very basic probiotic blend of two strains: Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum. The amount of bacteria in each pearl is only one billion CFUs, which is low for a probiotic; I like this because I am a minimalist. I like to take no more than is necessary of a supplement to achieve the benefit I am looking for. I have used it before and like the way it helps me with diminishing my gas and bloating. I also like that it helps prevent constipation since I have a medical condition and take several medications which can cause constipation. The pearls are pretty small and I have never had a problem swallowing. I usually take one with a glass of water first thing in the morning, without food; and without any side effects, like an upset stomach.
