I started using this mascara about age 14 , about 45 yrs. ago. This is the only mascara that has never failed me. I stick wuth what works & this is my mascara. It stays put , does not run even if tears (crying) and I've cried alot in 45 yrs. It makes my lashes stand out gives them color and very long length when I want length. It is able to make the shortest lashes look long by building them up. it is all in how you apply it , you need to know how to build it up and it will last all day and night if needed. Some say not easy to remove Not suppose to be , but can be easily removed as simply as it is to apply once you learn the tricks. Baby oil takes it OFF easily. To apply if you want length you must apply more than one coat with long and smooth strokes of the brush , go to the other lash and repeat several times until desired affect is achieved. I still to this day recieve compliments on my eyes lashes and I don't build them up like I used to. I now kind of keep it lower profile but color & a good length. I would not leave home without this mascara on. This mascara has won awards for years as the best mascara. It last and I've loved it for longer than anything else in my life , OH maybe the husband a close second ! LOL...

I use Maybelline Great Lash everyday. I start with a Lash lengthening formula and then finish it up with the Great lash. Your lashes are long and filled in with only a minimum number of strokes. This mascara lasts for a long time and for me never runs or flakes.

This mascara gives me decent lashes that wont wash off. I dont like the regular formula of GL, but I LOVE this one!

Its a very basic mascara that isnt going to transform your lashes into falsies, which is great in a waterproof mascara. Nothing worse than waterproof clumps falling in your eyes!

To start off, this mascara is NOT a mascara for individuals who are looking for GREAT definition to eyes...perhaps just a small enhancement (a graceful appearance). This mascara is not for individuals who are looking for drama... or the WOW/Pop factor to add to their lashes. This is a great "starter mascara" for individuals who do not know the difference between needed length or volume to their eyelashes. This is not a mascara that is recommended for building volume or for building great length. This is a mascara for individuals who want a more Neutral eyelash color definition added to their lashes. When applying this mascara what has worked for me is to use a brush from another mascara tube. I use the Rimmel London Scandaleyes mascara waterproof brush, which is very big and I have very short/sparse lashes. This is the mascara I use when I am not worried about the dramatic look, not worried about having length or volume per se... I just want a "neutral" definition look (nothing amazing, such as Marilyn Monroe eyes). I will only use waterproof mascara. This mascara has lasted me all day without smearing. I highly recommend using another brush instead of the one that it comes with. It would be much easier to apply this product. I tend to wear my makeup neutral or natural...not heavy, so this works for me as long as I use another brush and "take my time" applying. This mascara works...not buildable... if you know how to apply it the right way. It takes about 4 coats for me to really get this down right. The mascara will be dry...which IS common for waterproof mascaras...waterproof mascaras dry faster applying to the lashes. This will not be a watery mascara, which is found common when applying water-resistant mascaras. I will keep repurchasing this product and will only use it for the days when I want mascara and I am not looking for the drama...just darkening of the lashes! Remember when applying this mascara you need to work quickly... the problem is that most people use water resistant mascaras, which are very wet or runny and that takes time to dry. This mascara is not like this. Applying waterproof mascaras take time/patience. If you do not have time to apply mascara or makeup in general, do not wear it! I would rate this product 3.5...I am NOT fond of this brush at all! However, I think it makes a great starter "Waterproof" mascara for beginners who do not know whether they need volume or lengthening for their lashes or truly do not care about the volume or lengthening (looking for a neutral enhancement).

It holds the curl very well, but it smudges after 2 or 3 hours, and it's very difficult to remove.

Sooooo disappointed with this product. It might look good for an hour or so, the it starts to smudge. Doesn't last at all. The "smoky look" indicated above was unintentional. My search continues for a GOOD waterproof mascara...

This keeps my stick straight, thick, hard to curl, eyelashes curled up all day. I love this mascara and it is the fourth bottle that i purchased. The only downside I can think of is that it is hard to remove but you can fix that with a oil based makeup remover:). Highly reccomended!!

This product will ruin your eyes while trying to remove it, even when using the remover i bought just for this mascara. I recommend the washable kind for sure, but, never the waterproof. (unless you are on the Olymic swimming team and don't mind raw, red skin around the eyes after you try to remove it)

Frankly, I was disappointed when this mascara was applied. It took forever to get decent coverage, and once it did, the mascara clumped and dried out too quickly so I couldn't correct it. The more I added, the worse it looked. Yeechh! I'm on the prowl for a better waterproof mascara!
