Love how this builds volume without making my lashes glue together. Another reviewer suggested tissue to wipe the wand, don't think I'd do that. I just lean the wand to one side as I pull it from the tube - that way its got more mascara on one side and on the other a cleaner brush for separating the lashes easily. Sometimes it takes a comb to get the lashes evenly fanned out. I like this color and use Black for nights out. Never smudges on me or flakes off, but it does take a waterproof mascara remover to take it off completely. It also doesn't have that petroleum smell that waterproof mascaras can have.

I've used Lancome Defencils Waterproof for years, but when the NYT article about saving $ on cosmetics came out awhile back, I decided to give this a try. It's really very good--at least as good as the Lancome product. Much easier to order online, too!

I love this mascara. After years of using another brand, and after trying a dozen other kinds, I keep coming back to Voluminous. It builds better volume and length, and doesn't get spiky. It also comes off easily with makeup remover. The only negative is that it does smudge a little under the eyes, but all mascaras seem to. I also wish they made plain brown (not brown-black) mascara for fairer-skinned people; seems that brown mascara is getting harder and harder to find. Those who have problems with clumps should wipe the mascara wand with a tissue, then apply. Most mascaras benefit from doing this -- it's better to put on an extra coat than to try to comb out extra.

I've tried so many mascaras but I keep coming back to this one. It simply is the best for thick long lashes without a lot of time apply it. It can be clumpy at times, but you just have to work with it a little bit, the results are worth the effort.

This mascara is great! The color is divine, a lot better than plain black - it works really well for warm skin tones with yellow undertones, which is what I have. It makes my eyelashes curl beautifully and doesn't flake, and it just works! I have tried SO many other mascaras, and I think I have found my new favorite!

My eyelashes are long but they aren't very thick and this mascara has remedied that problem for me. No clumps, just thicker eyelashes
